My boyfriend and I were in the area for State swim meet, so we popped in here and were SO impressed! The CSR at the register was super kind and helpful. The atmosphere gave under-construction vibes, but there was Cartoon Network cartoons on which effectively distracted us. There are very few vegan options where we’re from, so I was ecstatic to see VEGAN cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and chicken options! I got the vegan pepperoni, sausage, and cheese, and my boyfriend did the same but “regular” (non-vegan). We were pleasantly surprised by the level of spice in the pepperoni, sausage, and marinara sauce. It’s been a couple weeks since we visited, but we’ve referenced these calzones every day — I’m hooked!

I had a great time! My food came fast and hot and my server was friendly. I ordered a falling rock zone calzone and rhe crust was lovely and crisp, and the filling had plenty of cheese. This is worth another visit, especially since you can build your own perfect calzone!

Definitely a nice spot for a calzone, and a good alternative to the slew of fast food around the area. It was kind of a good not great deal though. The service took a little bit, and the wait time was a bit longer than I’d expect for the food. It was about 25 minutes, which was longer than I’d expect considering I appeared to be the only one with an order pending. I suppose I don’t know though.
That said, the prices are really a bit much. A calzone with a cookie and drink as a combo should not run me $15. I could absolutely see myself going here more frequently if it was 10 to 12 dollars. Especially considering the location being right within the college campus, the price being that high is shocking considering I’d assume electing for lower prices appeals far more to the college crowd. I know it does for me.

I love DP Dough for its ease of use, I have a goal to try every type of calzone here.
I have brought in a ton of business whenever my friends are over, this is our go to spot. I’m very loyal.
I will say that I am disappointed that out of the 25+ times ordering here I made the mistake once of ordering to the wrong location.
St Paul location said they would likely understand, but to call right away which I did once I realized it.
The Minneapolis location REFUSED to give me a refund. I’m disappointed in their service, like I can’t even get a credit or something?

Super yummy! The Pepperoni rolls and cheese bread was our favorite for sure! We also got the bacon cheese burger calzone… It was interesting. Not bad, but definitely unique. Overall really impressed. I’ll be back for sure to try more flavors!

I tried DP Dough last night. I went with a group of ten friends. We ordered cookies. They brought out 10 of the most delicious chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. They were just the right amount of crisp and soft. Hot and gooey. I’m hooked!
The worker was awesome. He was pleasant to visit with and responded positively when we kept asking for things like napkins, water, etc. I’m excited to go back and try some of their menu items.
I highly recommend trying their cookies the next time you’re in the area. Good customer service, good food and a good price.

If I could give a zero star review I would. We waited a total of 1hr 15 minutes for 4 calzones that were supposed to take 12 minutes. After asking multiple times if our food was coming, we were told that our food was never started. Subsequently, the staff offered to start making our food now, or give us a refund. To be totally honest, I would expect an establishment that even somewhat respects its customers to offer a refund and the food, or additional free food with the order to make right the amount of time wasted at the store. It was also quite clear some if not all of the staff was under the influence of substances. I will make sure to recommend everyone I know to dine anywhere else, even the gas station over an establishment that has no respect for its customers. Thanks for nothing except a total and complete waste of my time.

Had the vegan gopher. The dough and marinara sauce were really good, tasted like a traditional calzone. Might just get a veggie calzone with vegan cheese next time because that is more my taste. They have eggplant!
