I’ve loved D&M since I was kid. But the last few times I’ve gotten it they have been skimpy on the meats. $12 for a thin layer just don’t cut it.

Really enjoyed the subs we’ve had from here in the past but tonight we stopped and ordered a couple and quite disappointed. The size was huge, lots of ham but very very dry. No seasoning or dressing. It’s been awhile, I don’t know, maybe they don’t put sauce on anymore.

Bought a LG ham sub with just ham and lettuce Cost $15.64 with only one layer of ham on it. What a rip off! Positively will not be back.Took a pic but won’t let me post on here..never ever will I spend my money at this place again

Love me some D&M…beats any other option for a great sub in the whole UP. Locally owned, and history that dates back nearly 50 years now. Its not quite what it used to be, quality and service depends heavily on who is working, but I’ve never had a single bad experience at the Gladstone location. Coming from a former Subway employee, let me say, corporations should fear small town businesses more than they do. Beats em in quality, service, pricing, portions, AND menu by so far that its not even a competition! If you’re in the area and want a mighty fine sandwich, you know where to go.

I do like the vast selection of subs available at D&M, but consistency has been an ongoing issue. I order the BLT mostly, and a few times, the bacon hadn’t been thoroughly cooked, and also seemed like the grease wasn’t fully absorbed before placing it on the sub, because the bottom bun was saturated with it. I also get the nacho and cheese, and most times the cheese is placed on the side, but lately, despite requesting it on the side, its been placed directly on the chips, which are to soggy to eat by the time I’m home. I would still recommend this place, just be crystal clear on how you wish to have your food when you open it to eat.

I have loved D and M subs since childhood. I live in Wisconsin now, and when I go back to visit, this is one of my first stops. I have 3 very picky eaters who love them, as well. They always ask for Mimi and Papa to bring them one when they visit. The owners are AMAZING!!! For anyone upset, mistakes are made everywhere. I have never experienced this, but I know the staff would be more than happy to fix anything. They are always so friendly jo matter which of the three locations I order from. This is a must eat sub!!!!

The subs have always been great. More than enough food. The past 4 times I have been at the location in Danforth, I have had terrible customer service. No greetings, not even a smile, the employees complained about the time we entered the door at 645 even though they close at 7 and no thank yous.. The one girl complained about her pay and lack of tips the entire time I was there. Being a business owner, I would expect a heck of a lot more out of my employees.
