This place is great! The sausage in read wine stake and fajitas were delicious! The mofongo looked good form afar. Beautiful view of the ocean where you can see ships pass by.

Great view and food was good. Service could be about better. Waiter wasn’t very attentive but was very nice.

Beautiful seaside location. We’ve been here twice and the service, drinks and food are great. The menu is available in English and has all prices marked. We got two appetizers and the portions are generous.

You couldn’t find a better view anywhere in Santo Domingo. The food was great and service was quick. I wouldn’t want to miss this place if I’m in the area again.

I very rarely give bad reviews but the service here was incredibly slow. I was able to eat what I ordered (sancocho and rice) but I’m not a local so I can’t really say if it was particularly good or bad. But my Dominicana partner ordered fish and was unable to eat more than a few pieces, claiming it tasted bland and bad. I hope they will improve as it’s a popular restaurant with a lot of potential.

Truly the worst food I’ve had in as long as I can remember. I’m so surprised. Everything we’ve had in DR has been so delicious. Punta Cana and La Romana had great food. I wouldn’t write off DR or the food in this country, but this meal is honestly the worst flavored and overall food I’ve had. Probably ever. For real. We have some trash food in USA, but even cancer-producing fast food places are so much better tasting.

The food this evening all tasted the same. The fried foods really didn’t have much flavor other than the oil it was deep fried in. The platano tasted like cardboard. The mofongitos tasted like oil. The cheeseballs were just embarrassing frozen food out of a bag.

But now to the real gem of the meal – the mahi mahi was the driest, most poorly prepared fish I may have ever had. I would much rather have tuna out of a can. I love fish. I catch fish. I prepare and cook fish. This fish was tough, dry (see pics) and it had such a disgusting fishy flavor. It was a terrible example of mahi mahi. It tasted like rotten frozen tilapia. For real – long john silvers makes much better fish. And their fish is as close to mutant fish as one may ever find. But this mahi mahi was an honest abomination. I NEVER leave food on my plate, but I ate several bites of this food and decided to end the meal. Worst meal ever. Not drama. Truth. If you don’t believe me, go get the dorado don Luis and then get ready to call your priest.

Order these at your own risk:
Picadera de la casa
Bolitas de queso
Dorado don Luis

I don’t like leaving bad reviews. Sometimes, people just have a bad day. Everyone makes mistakes. But this food was so terrible, I decided to attempt to save some others. You’ll never know food could be so awful, so it may be worth it to go try this place. It completely redefines what bad food is for me. I wish I had just not eaten. I would have preferred a partially eaten potato chip out of a stranger’s pocket.

This place was recommended by Renaissance navigator. It has a large open-air covered deck that is literally 2 meters from the Caribbean Ocean. Everyone, both guests and associates, was smiling, talking, and enjoying themselves. The views were impressive.

The guest was asked if he wanted the English or the Spanish menu, and he said ambos (both). The selections were a weird mix of seafood (which they were mostly out of at 5:00 PM), pork products, and a number of sides or snack foods. WARNING: the Shrimp Cocktail app is like these teeny weeny little shrimps, not the normal big ones seen and eaten around the world. It was gross.

The half-chicken was a little better. The rice was hot and fluffy, and the chicken skin crisp and slightly dark. Frozen strawberry drink was on the menu. So that was also ordered and tasted delicious. It took a while, as usual in the RD, to get attention and pay the bill.

I don’t know if I would recommend this place for much more than drinks on the seaside deck. There’s better food all around the area.

Honest review … although the location is nice (forgetting about the garbage what is floating on the side of the beach), the food is good, the service was quite low … the prices are above average so keep in mind if you want to go to this location. Their rate of exchange US/Euro to Dominican Pesos is quite low so pay attention to change money before you attend this place. Overall it was acceptable on the limit of tolerance.

On Saturday morning we had breakfast at this place… when we got there, there was like 10 servers, all of them were on the phone… we were a group of 7, we waited around 7-9 min to get a server to our table.. but we had to raise our hand to call the server, then we all order coffee and another server delivered and we all look our face… because they served 1/3 of a 5 oz cup… our server looked the coffee cup and he took them back.. he apologized because it was too little… then we only ordered food 5 of us… the menu looks ok.. with wrong description, I ordered a omelette with onions, cheese and mushrooms and brought me a fritata without the mushrooms.. my brother in law ordered another omelette and it was raw omelette… we were rush because we had to fly back to NY… when we arrived to NY unfortunately my brother in law had to go to the hospital… and I had vomit and back pain the whole night… that was the only meal that we had on Saturday… hopefully a manager read this and take seriously care handling food… and improve the service..
