So disappointed. We were starving and found this cafe on Google maps and decided to give it a chance because down in Mississippi, these little cafes have the BEST food. The food proved that I wasn’t at home anymore . I mean, The strawberry milkshakes were great and the only reason I rated this 2 stars. The coleslaw was so plain and the bread on my patty melt was soggy and the “patty” was super chewy. The fries were also soggy and lacked any kind of flavor or hint of seasoning. Definitely made me feel like I was eating hospital food. Call me a gremlin if you want, but we were in a hurry and couldn’t stop anywhere else, so I ate it anyway. In summary. Edible, but barely. ♀️

Fabulous hash browns. I’m a huge fan of hash browns and DJ makes them better than anywhere I’ve had them! Reasonable prices too. Friendly service! Would definitely recommend. Unusual to have a restaurant this good in such a small town.

Always love stopping in at this cozy little Cafe. The coffee is good. The food is good. I had the special. Fried Haddock with mashed potatoes and brown gravy and a bun with butter. The food is good. Small restroom but clean.
Not a fan of the music blaring in the background today.
Waitstaff was attentive.
Prices are very reasonable.
My meal was under $10.

I was a regular at DJ’s for a long time, eating there at least 4 or 5 times a week, loving the food, staff and the reasonable prices but I hadn’t been in for a couple of months because of health issues. Imagine my disappointment upon taking my parents and son to dinner at DJ’s this evening and encountering terrible service, a soggy burger that wasn’t even what I ordered, new mini sundaes passed off as large with new higher prices and a new 3% surcharge for credit cards that was sprung on me after they had already rung up my bill. Certainly DJ’s has every right to adjust their menu and prices as they see fit and hire whomever they wish but their business is no longer either a good value for me nor a friendly place with warm, conscientious staff where I feel welcome. Though I wish the ownership and staff of DJ’s well I have no intention of returning. It’s time for me to find a new regular restaurant.
