To start off, this took over an old spot and we really were excited about the new restaurant opening and that a new Asian spot was opening up was exciting!
I tried the lunch 3 maki combo special and I replaced the miso soup with Hot and Sour Soup. I truly think you can judge a restaurant by the Hot and Sour Soup and this was the best we have found in the North Shore. They have fresh ingredients and the taste of the soup is fantastic! They have big mushrooms and variety in the soup and they don’t have a ton of tofu filler. Perfect!
The rolls I got were Sweet Potato Tempura, the Salmon Avocado roll and the Tuna Avocado Roll. The fish is fresh, and I love that they are good portions so the price actually feel justified. I ordered food there so I could look around and the sushi chef was cleaning the work station and the knives- everything was clean and in order and looked fresh.
We can’t wait to come back and try some of the Chinese dishes since looking at other customers plates- they looked delicious and fresh!
The place is spacious and there is a big bar area and TV’s so it looks like a fun place to hang out!

Got the hot and sour soup and chicken wings and both were fresh, cooked perfectly, and tasted great. Looking forward to other dishes next time I order from here. They have big shoes to fill and seem to be knocking it out of the park so far.

Loved this place the poke bowls were huge and delicious. The sushi rolls were beautiful and fresh. Service was not only really nice but the food came out quick. Another good thing about this place its super affordable.

WOW WOW WOW!!! I could not recommend this restaurant enough. First and foremost, everything arrived fresh, hot, and DELICIOUS. We got a pu pu platter and a whole maine course and every bite was great.
We rate our food from 1 to 10 everywhere we go. Not one item was under a 7.
My partner got a long Island iced tea which was STRONG but spot on with the flavors.
The staff are so friendly. The atmosphere is welcoming.
The stress parking was the only difficult part but we were able to find a spot within a few minutes.
This is THE asian restaurant! We 1000% will be returning.

This place is amazing and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. I was craving sushi after work so googled to find a place on way home and D&J was most convenient. I placed my order online but within a minute they called to inform me of their buy one roll get one free special and asked what else I’d like at no additional cost. That was so sweet of them! I got the torched salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, a couple shrimp nigiri, beef w broccoli, chicken fingers and white rice all for under 40!! Let me tell you the sushi is so fresh and delicious, honestly the best I’ve ever had. The beef w broccoli was so tender and flavorful and the chicken fingers were crunchy and tasty. I gave my son a piece of my tuna roll and he loved it so much I’m going back there today to get him a couple rolls. The restaurant is so clean and the menu is extensive. There’s something for everyone here and it’s in a great location right on Washington Street. D&J is going to be my new sushi place and I really hope everyone tries them out. You will not be disappointed

Great experience. Lady behind the bar serving lunch was exceptionally personable with a full knowledge of the choices on the menu and giving great advice. We were allowed to add extra spices that we loved at no extra cost. Our lunch was superb. I went to Chinese cooking school years ago and I understand how good the food that was plated to us. I highly recommend this new restaurant. It is a local treat. The value to your dollar experience is well worth it. It is not an expensive restaurant.

We were all so ready for a place to open in the legendary Buddha spot. We miss the original owners so much but let me tell you…D and J brings it. Fantastic food, staff and atmosphere.
We had ordered the sushi boat and a few apps. Unreal. We ordered and the food came out 20/30 minutes later. That means fresh food, cooked to order and enough time to enjoy the Mai Tais.
Looking forward to many more dinners here.

Best Food Ever. Crab Ragoon – Chicken Fingers – and Boneless spear ribs (without a drop of fat.) The beef teryaki tasted like steak on a stick. Great Service. If you are looking for a new spot this is it.

Went here for the first time today for takeout. It is very good! Got a combo dinner plate and everything is fresh and tasty. I am picky about my chicken wings and these are crispy on the outside but not overcooked. Will definitely go back!
