Placed a pick up order of the jerk chicken salad. The pick up process was quick and easy, the vibe in the restaurant was good everyone seemed to be having a good time and enjoying the music. THE SALAD THOUGH is sooooo good. A generous amount of Shredded jerk chicken & fresh lettuce.

This place is pretty much an institution when it comes to good Jamaican food. Their jerk chicken is always on point (pro-tip, ask for extra jerk gravy on the rice. It’s a game-changer!) along with everything else. The staff is friendly, and you can definitely catch a vibe with the reggae music playing in the background as you enjoy your meal. Enjoy!

Understand, this is my experience and mine alone. As someone who loves West Indian food, I was looking a place while in the area visiting. Man, this was not what I expected. This was honestly one of the worse experiences I’ve had in quite some time . Nothing was seasoned. The cabbage, the brown stew chicken, the rice & peas….I almost thought I had Covid and loss my sense of taste!!!! I also added the 6 piece jerk wings….overbearing heat, but again…lack of flavor. Maybe the cook had an off day . I just threw the rest away. Disappointed, to say the least.

I used to work down the street from D&H Jamaican Cuisine, and it became my ‘Go to’ for lunch 2-3 per week or as dinner on my way home. Loved the spicy Jerk Chicken w/Gravy over white Rice & broccoli was my ‘the usual’ along with an ice cold beer. You can see how tender & juicy the chicken is, just pulled apart with the knife & fork, no cutting needed.

Hands down the best chicken I’ve ever had which seems wild to say on a google review. The meat is just seasoned to the point where you can’t stop eating it. Get the jerk chicken. Beef patty is cool but not the main event

UPDATE: 12/14/2024 – Google asked me to update this. Not a lot to update. Same excellent food and excellent service by our waitress, Jeannie.
UPDATE: 10/06/2023 – Added some more photographs from our visit last Friday. This place rocks and their jerk sauce is awesome. I’ve got three “other” bottles of jerk sauce in the refrigerator at home and none of them compare to this. It’s not sweet, and just the right amount of spice. One of my favorites is the jerk pork side dish along with one or two of the beef patties. And it’s always better when our favorite staff member, Jeannie, is the one bringing it to us. She does an awesome job!
UPDATE 06/30/2023 – Google asked me to update this review. No changes. Went there tonight with my son. Same great food and service. Reasonable prices.
UPDATE 04/22/2023 – Google asked me to update this review. Not a lot to update. The place still rocks, the lady taking care of us already knew our orders, etc. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for Jamaican.
UPDATE: 02/11/2023 – Google asked me to update this. Still decent food and service. It’s a nice, laid back atmosphere. I had several “meat patties” this evening with a couple rum and Cokes. I like them (the meat patties )because for me at least, they’re low volume in terms of how much weight I put on with eating them. My son got the jerk wings with rice.
Great food and service and we were served reasonably fast.

Came here for lunch for the very first time and was amazed I haven’t ate here before. I got the beef Pattie with oxtail gravy and it was absolutely amazing. I will be returning to try more of their menu. They were very busy and had only one person serving dine and take out so it was a long wait time for everything. Hopefully this is one off or they are in process of hiring day time help to lower the long wait times! Server was friendly though! Highly recommend!

Stopped in craving Jamaican food. The atmosphere was nice, it’s connected to a bar. There was music playing and drinks being served.
I ordered ahead, so we didn’t need seats. But our order was ready when we got there. Everything was delicious. Well worth the money! Not too expensive either.

Only complaint is that they always run out of Mac and cheese before I arrive but that’s expected when the food is good! Came two days in a row and enjoyed everything! Oxtails were seasoned to perfection! Best gravy I’ve tasted in awhile. The jerk whole wings aren’t for the weak!! They’re firey and will have your nose running!.. Definitely ordering them again! Also try the rum punch! UPDATE! So on my 3rd visit within 2 months (because i really love the food and vibes) I was able to order Mac & Cheese and loved it! Cheesy and seasoned! Tried the Gummy Bear drink this time..my new favorite! Highly recommend!

I would NOT recommend. We only gave this place a try because our favorite go-to Jamaican restaurant is closed on Sundays. The food was okay. The customer service and food portions were really lackluster. It’s very clear when a restaurant likes to penny pinch the portion sizes and put profits over customer service. My husband asked for a little extra (was willing to pay an up charge), but was told if he wanted extra he would have to buy another platter. We’ve never had that experience. Decent establishments will just charge extra while still accommodating the customer. If your overhead costs are significant, raise the prices of the menu options and give your customers a decent experience. Don’t reduce the experience to save a dollar, this is how you lost a customer. I was given two oxtails, and only one had a decent amount of meat. It’s no reason a customer should have to buy two platters to get a decent portion size. Other Jamaican places have comparable prices with better customer service and portions. We will not be patronizing this business again.
