The restaurant didn’t have the best atmosphere, but it did appear to be clean. The service was nice and friendly, which I appreciated.
It wasn’t a city-style restaurant, and unfortunately, the food didn’t meet my expectations. I ordered the turkey wing dinner with sides and banana pudding for dessert. The banana pudding was disappointing it didn’t taste like banana, had cheap cookies, and lacked flavor overall.
The turkey didn’t taste like baked turkey; it seemed like it was just plain turkey covered in gravy without much seasoning. The candied yams were just okay, and the macaroni and cheese wasn’t good at all it didn’t taste like real mac and cheese.
I traveled a long distance to try their food, but it wasn’t worth the trip. The prices were reasonable about $17 for the turkey dinner and $5 for the banana pudding but the quality didn’t match the cost.

My first time in this establishment and I was disappointed…my food was cold.
The meatloaf was very bland, the mashed potatoes were instant and very loose. The green beans taste like the can really no flavor. The yams tasted like white folks yams..Well my dog enjoyed it! Come on black folks do better

I didn’t get my food because I called in and when I got there there was 20 people in the line and they wanted me to wait behind all the people after I already called the order in.

The cash only process is a deterrent to paying customers. Additionally, the inconsiderate practice of not notifying customers with signage prior to customers waiting 20+ minutes to place an order only to be told they are out of the item is very poor customer service.

I have eaten here twice and both time I was pleased with my food. Every time I came it was always crowded line was like outside the door. The workers were very pleasant and patient both times. Today is March 31 2024 and I can’t wait to go get a plate that’s if they open. I will highly recommend this please.

Have your cash ready as they do not accept cards at this moment. There is also NOT an online menu (the menu changes daily). Prices are very reasonable for the portions you get! I ordered dressing with turkey, a side of Mac and cheese and yams! Meals come with cornbread muffin. When I tell you this food was delicious, that doesn’t explain it! This is definitely a “hole in the wall” resturant with great food! Don’t be fooled by how it looks on the outside or inside. Definitely worth the price!

Good food …staff was pleasant …dessert. well I had the peach cobbler very watery needs a little more work on it needs to be thicken and not as much sugar and more dough …It was my first time trying a dessert. .but I took one bite and didn’t eat the rest …too soupy .so I give 4 stars for the dinner itself …and 1 star for peach cobbler ..

This is normally a five star experience for me but it’s my fault a little. Whenever we come to get a dinner from here its early. I have never come close to closing time. Some of the menu items were sold out and my regular favorites were a little different as if they put some of them together with out the typical care to at least have it available. I’ll be early next time not counting this against them.
