When we decided to travel to Alaska, I knew fish and chips would be on our must eat list. Clearly, it didn’t originate here but the fish are so fresh you can’t say no! D’s Fish and Chip Shack is in a prime spot, right in front of the cruise ships! With the quality and flavor of the dish I have to say they are reasonably priced. Ordered the Cod Fish and Chips for $22, it was so fresh, hot, seasoned well and crispy! We met a young lady during our travels, Amy Butcher who was on our ship promoting her book Mothertrucker (add to your book list), done with her tour, heading back home to Ohio (I think) She gave this place extra kudos and said every time they dock there, it’s a must eat spot and I have to agree!

The fish and chips was nice and crispy. The owner was friendly. It is right in front of the cruise ships on the dock. Yummy food and great view!

We tried the 3 piece halibut fish and chips. Everything was freshly prepared. The fish was flaky and delicious. I couldn’t have asked for more.

Stopped by to grab a quick bite before we went back to the ship. Ordered 2 Ketchi-Combo and a clam chowder. Everything was delicious, esp the clam chowder. There’s picnic tables outside where you can sit and eat. Def recommend

They are super nice and accommodating. Food was FRESH and HOT. Even delicious Tatar sauce. I had 2 pieces of Cod and bowl of creamy white clam chowder. Had well cooked celery and seasoned appropriately.

Cash only, no sign stating such until after you order and go to pull out your card to be told otherwise. Ordered the Alas-krab experience which in itself was a pretty poor experience for $60. Fish tasted frozen and bland and the fries were really weak tasting like they were made hours ago. Had to wait 20 minutes for the crab which was fine, however it was brought to our table with no butter. Went up to the stand to ask for some butter only to be told that all of their butter was thrown out yesterday. Owner was polite and very apologetic which was appreciated, however when the crab comes out cold with no butter it makes for a very disappointing experience especially when you’re expecting something fresh when you’re walking off the ship.

This food shack sits right at the port. It was so busy, we had to try it. The fish taco was delicious! In addition to the fried fish and chicken tenders. Everything was fresh and delicious.

I don’t know how the other food is, but the cod fish and chips were awful. Small, thin pieces that were half batter. Fries were fine. The black pepper is a nice touch. Lots of picnic tables, perfect to rest at on a beautiful day. Great location and even has live music some days!

Get ready to stand in line for 1/2 hour to order and stand another 1/2 hour waiting for your food. Then you’ll be carrying it yourself to a public picnic table. Gong Show! Never again.
We had 2 piece halibut &chips. The halibut was factory made, battered, frozen and they just fried it insight. Very disappointed.

Visiting from Carnival Spirit cruise and before I got back on, I could smell the food, and it smelled so good. Walk up and the server was really nice and funny. Also spoke to another man who I think was the manager and he was really nice and funng as well. Food took about 10 mins to prepare. I got the 3 piece combo with the halibut, cod, and salmon. Everything was seasoned SO WELL! Halibut piece was big and my favorite!
