We had dinner here after a snow storm and it was totally worth it. We had eaten here before when it was called something else. But it’s been revamped and they must have new management. Because the vibe is better and so was the service. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. But more importantly all the food we had was banging!

None of us had any complaints about our food and we all had various things.

For appetizers we had a little bit of everything including: Griot (fried pork shoulder), fried Akra, fried plantains, fried steak chunks, fried goat and fried Haitian meat balls. All of it was good. It had a nice little kick of flavor and spice. If you like your food seasoned, then you won’t be disappointed. We couldn’t even finish it all and there was six of us.

We probably could have stopped at the appetizers because it was so filling. But we each ordered our own dinner entrees.

I had the fried red snapper with fried plantain and Diri Djondjo (Haitian black rice). This was cooked to perfection. The fish was a good size. But I was so full from the tasty appetizers I decided to take the fish to go.

All in all this is a great Haitian restaurant with good food, service and good vibes. I could see how this would be a great place for parties and dancing at night. Because they have sort of combined a restaurant, lounge and small club feel.

We’re old heads so we left before that happened. Lol But we saw them setting up and it looks like it would be a vibe.

The owner or manager was so accommodating. He kept us up to date about our food. He even asked us if the background music was too loud. He was just super accommodating. He even hooked us up with an after meal shot of Kremas.
And it was so good. I haven’t had such good Kremas since my youth living in Brooklyn when my parents made it. It brought me back. It was a great way to end the night.

If you’re looking for good authentic Haitian food in the Westchester area without having to trek to Brooklyn this is the spot. You won’t be disappointed with the food or service. Just make sure you come hungry and be patient. Because the food is made fresh it does take a while. So be patient and just sipping the tasty adult beverages until you get your food.

My only regret is I should have ordered food to go which they do offer even if you don’t want to sit for dinner.

Ultimately I love seeing my Haitian people winning and being on top of service. Too often a Caribbean restaurant can have good food but lacking in service. But Cy’s Restaurant has managed to keep the service and food at a high quality. And because of that we’ll be back again.

Cy’s Restaurant & Lounge is an absolute gem in Nyack. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is unmatched — stylish, energetic, and welcoming with true Caribbean flavor and flair.

The food is phenomenal. Every dish is seasoned perfectly and cooked with care — rich, authentic flavors that taste like they came straight from the islands. The oxtail, jerk chicken, and rasta pasta are standout favorites, and the portions are generous.
great music, a lively lounge atmosphere, and attentive service, and Cy’s becomes more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience. Whether you’re going for dinner, drinks, or a night out, Cy’s delivers every time.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for amazing Caribbean food, a great vibe, and unforgettable cocktails. Nyack needed this spot!

We held our father’s memorial brunch in November there and have been back many times since. We cannot give enough praise to this exceptional Haitian/Jamaican restaurant tucked away in downtown Nyack. The culinary skill, attention to detail, and level of service are truly outstanding and provide for an exceptional dining experience. The food is remarkably authentic. The food is rich, comforting, and deeply flavorful, bringing back memories of my mother’s home cooking. Every dish reflects care, tradition, and genuine craftsmanship. An unforgettable dining experience from start to finish. It’s without a doubt become the go-to spot for me and my family.

Went by here last night for dinner with my mom and daughter and we are so glad we made the trip from Haverstraw to go support! It’t not our first time here but I always like to visit a few times and get some consistency before leaving reviews! We both got the Griot Dinner with black rice and honey let me tell you this meal here never disappoints. The service was amazing and very friendly. Def a gem for the Nyack Community!

The food and drinks were exceptional. The rum punch was potent and flavorful, and every dish we tried was perfectly seasoned, as if cooked with love.
We started with crispy catfish bites, followed by tender oxtails served over black rice with a side of creamy mac and cheese. The flavors were divine! While the catfish bites were a bit small for the price, they were undeniably delicious. As a thoughtful gesture, Chef (Mom) offered us fish patties to go, which were hot, crispy, flaky, and absolutely mouthwatering. Even though I was full, I couldn’t resist trying them.

The service was kind and friendly, though we had to ask for water a few times and our order of Sos Pwa never arrived. Despite this, the overall experience was fantastic and we’ll definitely return.

Everyone was nice. The cocktail I had was good as I waited for my food which was so delicious and fresh. It was exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be back for more. That black rice tasted like a family member made it.
