Sorry I don’t have the picture because I cleaned my plate lol! I don’t eat meat so I did the fried whiting platter with greens yams and Mac n cheese and I wanted to try the seafood salad! Everything was good to taste and that house sauce should be sold in the market! The seafood salad was a little more wet then I prefer it to be but again the flavor is all there! I will be eating from there again. And the guy who’s working the window was kind! Thank you for the customer service! (Update) I went back! Here’s the photo!

I ordered the smothered pork chops with Mac and cheese, and string beans. The food was absolutely delicious- very flavorful and fresh. Although the food was good, I’m more pleased with the customer service. Everyone was extremely friendly, and helpful. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more food.

My sister and I wanted soul food without having to go to Philly. Came across this place and I’m glad we did. Customer service was friendly!Food was super good. I had the fried whiting and it was fried perfectly. Mac and cheese and string beans were also good. I bought chicken platter for my husband and he loved it. Glad to find a place closer to home. The first time we tried Cynthia’s it was great (family fish meal)! The second time we found hair in our food and called to inform them. But understand, I ONLY called to let them know, NOT wanting a refund or a free meal on my next order. THEY INSISTED I receive a free meal on my next order. Then when I called to cash in on the make up order, I was interogated on where the hair was found, exactly which side it was in, was I positive this happened & who I spoke to about receiving this free meal. Was put on hold and then told the person couldn’t be reached so I would have to wait until another time. I hung up & called from my wife’s phone and placed an order for a chicken family meal (which I paid full price for). The food taste as if it was reheated & sent out. The third and last time I ordered (on April 7th 2023) I ordered a family chicken meal, in which I received 6 legs, 4 wings & a thigh. I called to ask why wasn’t there an assortment of pieces and was told, “we probably ran out.” So I asked why wouldn’t you guys explain that when I was placing the order and her response was, “so you got eleven pieces of chicken? Its supposed to be ten.” I was done at that point. I love to support black businesses, but this one doesn’t deserve my money anymore. And $50+ for ten pieces of chicken & three sides is a little high too.

Ladies working there cannot cook, omg !! I am from down South. Wing dings were horrible and smelled fermented. Should be whole wings, fresh and seasoned better. Over battered and overcooked. Potato salad smelled sour, so threw everything out. Max/cheese was bland n sweet potatoes was nasty and mushy. Did not even give to the dogs, eww. Worse 1st experience ever!! When you grow up on greatness of real down South soul food, there is no substitute. . Place definitely needs old school lessons from grandparents or prayer .

Food was good. No complaints. Call ahead if you are ordering big. Owners were pleasant and courteous. Would eat there again most definitely. I recommend this as great place to eat. Glad we found this place!

Let me just say I have been to this establishment several times and I can’t get over how great the food is ! I have had every side dish and the fish and chicken no matter how I ordered it was to perfection! Great customer service! And I can’t wait to go back for more and get the lamb ! This is a must have if you live in the area or you’re just visiting!!! The portions are perfect, the seasoning is just right, and IF AND I MEAN IF there are leftovers you’d never know they were leftovers because it’s just THAT GOOD !!!!
