Cynthia’s Ristorante is our go to for special nights, and honestly I wish we could eat here every week. The menu changes often and we have never had a bad time. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made, from the bread and pastas to desserts and cocktails. This is the rare place where you should go all in. Start with an appetizer, order a main, save room for dessert, and get a cocktail or two. Nothing disappoints.

Service is always polished and personal. Dealing with the waiters or bartenders feels effortless, like they are a step ahead without hovering. The room sets the mood perfectly. Exposed brick, white tablecloths, soft table lamps, and modern paintings by local artists create a warm, intimate space. Dark leather chairs, tin ceiling, and sculptural light fixtures give it an old Hollywood feel without trying too hard.

If you want a romantic dinner or just a flawlessly cooked meal with great wine, this is the spot. We always look forward to what they are doing next.

My wife and I love Cynthias. The chef specials are always an amazing surprise. You can pick anything on the menu and it’s you’re new favorite. My daughter lives to get the dessert.

My wife gets upset with me if we can’t eat there every night so we will keep booking.

We arrived with our reservations and was seated promptly. It took a little time for us to receive our salads, like we literally were able to drink a bottle of wine before we received the salads. The oysters were okay, not bad, not good….edible. The salads were good and the vinaigrette was delicious but again, short of spectacular. The wait staff is apparently overworked because although our waiter was personable, service was lacking. Now, for our meals there were 6 of us with 5 different entrees ordered. The highest anyone rated their food was a 7 out of 10. They were all hit and miss with some items being good and some being okay on the plate. Please do not come if you are very hungry and wanting a big meal as their meals are lacking in size but not price. At the end of the night we ordered one of each dessert. The desserts were good although the sugar on the creme brulee was burnt. The waiter offered to get another and I declined as my family had already ate half. It is hard for me to say anything negative about a local place being a local gal but having traveled the world and eating some amazing food, especially in Italy, I would be doing an injustice to give a good rating. If you want good ambiance and decent food this would be a good place to go. For the cost of our meals and the amount of food we ordered I expected better service so my tip reflected this. I would not go here again personally except to get a dessert and a glass of wine.

I would give this place zero stars if that were an option. This was an absolutely shocking dining experience from start to finish.

We began with the oysters à la Cynthia, the smoked salmon special, a cup of tomato chorizo soup, and the pear salad. The oysters were gritty and not fully cooked, which is completely unacceptable. That’s not a minor mistake, that’s a fundamental failure in execution and food safety.

The smoked salmon “special” was embarrassing. It tasted like something assembled entirely from store-bought ingredients, with zero creativity or effort. There was nothing special about it other than the audacity to charge restaurant prices for something so basic.

The tomato chorizo soup was the only redeeming item of the entire meal and genuinely enjoyable, which only made the rest of the experience more frustrating.

The pear salad was a mess. Canned pears, raw, unroasted walnuts, gorgonzola, and huge, uncut lettuce leaves. Roast the walnuts. Cut the lettuce. Use fresh fruit. These are entry-level standards, and none of them were met. Serving canned pears and calling it a composed salad is pure laziness.

My girlfriend ordered the cavatelli, described on the menu as “house-made cavatelli with prime sirloin, mushrooms, and peppers in a rosé marsala sauce.” That description was flat-out dishonest. The pasta was clearly store-bought, the “prime sirloin” amounted to four tiny, overcooked pieces, and there were two mushrooms total in the entire dish. The sauce tasted like a generic creamy tomato sauce, no marsala flavor, no depth, no balance. The portion was shockingly small, especially for the $36 price tag. That’s not premium dining, that’s robbery.

I ordered the veal scallopini, and it was literally inedible. The sauce tasted like raw wine mixed with soy sauce, overly salty, harsh, and completely unbalanced. I couldn’t eat more than half, and I am not someone who ever leaves food behind.

The last time I ate at Cynthia’s was around 2015, and it was outstanding. Whatever this restaurant is now bears no resemblance to that experience. Either ownership has changed or the standards have completely collapsed. Charging these prices while putting in this little effort, and blatantly misrepresenting dishes on the menu, is honestly offensive.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I will never eat here again, and I strongly advise anyone reading this to save your money and eat literally anywhere else.

Cynthia’s Ristorante is dining perfection with an exquisite menu and excellent service. We enjoyed anjou pear salad with walnuts & gorgonzola. A very unique grilled mozzarela “salad” with layers of buffalo mozzarella, heirloom tomato, greens & crostini. Halibut over basmati rice with grilled vegetables. Homemade fettuccine amatriciana with grilled jumbo shrimp. Flourless chocolate cake. Three layer chocolate mousse & praline tort. Wow! Five stars isn’t enough. With so many amazing menu choices, we’ll be back!

My favorite restaurant in Paducah & has been for 30+ years. Five of us dined there tonight to celebrate two of our birthdays. Two of us ordered stuffed chicken breast with spaghetti, & three ordered 4 oz fillet with garlic mashed potatoes & sauteed vegetables. We all ordered salads & their declious chocolate cake. Each one of the fillets were cooked exactly like we requested. Service was superb too. Photos are of Cynthia’s salad & chocolate cake dessert. Forgot to photo entrees, was too busy eating them!
