We grab street tacos anytime we get over this way by CW’s in Joshua, TX. We might look over the menu but always choose barbacoa tacos! We tried other items from the menu a few times, but nothing beats out the juicy meat in these tacos! Plenty of meat, fresh or grilled onions, cilantro and lime. Served with beans and rice. The service has been good during our visits. Parking is a bit different. Only 3 or 4 parking spots in front, small driveway down side has motorcycle parking, and a small parking lot in back has a backdoor entrance that’s not clearly marked. Back entrance is through an enclosed patio seating area that is humid and hot here in Texas, they have window AC in that area that is never turned on. Main dining area has a half wall divider that adds privacy for diners, but makes the room feel smaller. Decor is rustic, they have added fresh paint that really brightens the room. Restroom area us up a ramp that has an odd bump angle that would be hard for some walkers or wheelchair users. Overall great improvements and delicious foods with good service.

CW’s is my favorite Mexican restaurant. I always get the flauta plate (or flautitas as a side if I get a different plate). They actually have nostalgic texmex food, like how I remember a nice texmex restaurant tasting when I was a kid. So many places taste bland or weird these days either not trying hard enough or trying too hard to be different. Their queso? Fire flautas? My fav. Chips and salsa? UGH YESSSS. It’s out in the middle of nowhere between Godly and Joshua, but it would be one of those always packed Burleson restaurants if it had a better location. I go like once a week. And their staff members are really friendly. Love you guys thanks for making my favorite food

The Best Tex mex restaurant in the area. Took my family here and the staff was very polite and prompt. If your thinking about eating here. Go for it! You won’t regret it. Waitress name is Katherine and she was very polite.

This place has such a variety of food, so far everything has been exceptional! I would have to say though, they have the BEST patty melt ever! Love their special yummy sauce too. The service is amazing here. Everyone is so nice and make you feel so welcomed you want to become a regular.

The food is so good! They make their own hot sauce served with warmed chips, delicious! Their service is above and beyond any I have experienced. Very warm and friendly!

I have been eating at this place for 9 plus years. Wayne and Carmen have served great food back to the first day I stopped by to eat. Great people, great service, and great food……that sums it up.

Had high hopes for CW’s based on other reviews, bad sadly have to say that this establishment is somewhat overrated.
Food –
Drinks: They were having issues with the CO2 with the soda machine so had to settle for lemonade instead of soft drinks.
Chips and Salsa/Queso: Chips were average and the amount you receive is small…refills were frequent. Salsa wasn’t bad – a tad runny – but had some back-end heat to it. The queso looked and tasted like the canned Tostito’s queso at the grocery store.
Entree: Ordered the beef enchilada daily special. The food came out hot and tasted good, but despite what other reviewers have stated, the portions were small.
Cost –
Cost was about expected and reasonable for what you receive.
Service –
Service was adequate and server was attentive to our table.
Overall –
We give it 3 out of 5 stars. Not a tex-mex establishment we plan to visit often as there are better options out there. CW’s is recommended if you need cheap and fast and don’t a mind a lower food quality.

This place was a diamond in the rough for sure. A quick Google search for highly rated Mexican food restaurants pulled this baby up. It was a little further out of our way than we wanted to travel, but oh boy was it worth the trip. It didn’t look like much on the outside. We actually considered not going in. My family and I are happy we did. It was nice, clean, and extremely helpful staff. The food came out quickly and did not disappoint our taste buds. The Food was exceptional, and the owner made his rounds to visit the patrons to hear our satisfaction. Don’t worry, those eaters in your group that don’t like tex mex are sure to find other more “Tex” menu options like burgers chicken fried chicken etc. Absolutely Recommend !

Saw this place on Restaurant Impossible and drove over an hour to try it. As of now, the name on the outside and on all social media still says “Fun Time Cafe” but the interior and the menus say “CW’s.”
You walk in to a wall commemorating Robert Irvine’s time with them. And the decor throughout looks bright, clean, and colorful. We ordered the Patty Melt Burrito and the Pork Ribs. Both tasted good and were cooked well, but the ribs were easily the star of the show! Wow! They fell off the bone and were bursting with flavor. Mixed with the pineapple slaw, it was even better.
Also, the staff was SUPER kind and friendly. They’ll make you like coming just in their demeanor. You can tell they take pride in their work. It was a fun, worthwhile trip with my daughter! Cool experience.
