Sharing this review in support of a female-owned restaurant powered by my company’s POS system (Toast) to celebrate International women’s day! I went for the first time and ordered two to go meals. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was beautiful. A sit down soul food restaurant that’s almost too good to be true! I had the pork chop, Mac & cheese and yams and my husband had the wings, greens and fries. He is a very hard food critic and said yum after the first bite of his greens. That by itself deserves 5 stars!

This was our first time here and we really enjoyed ourselves. The service (Leslie and Olivia), food and atmosphere were all really good! I love the family feel. They actually had the family (cousins) come out to eat together while we were there. The live singer and the music in general were both good. For dinner, I had the large shrimp, Mac-n-cheese, greens and cornbread meal and I had the peach empanadas for dessert. My husband had the oxtail, yams, greens and cornbread meal and the banana pudding for dessert . So yummy! We will surely be back to try out their brunch!

My husband and I came here to try this new establishment on our date night. We were greeted upon arrival and were told we couldn’t anywhere we liked. We liked the decor inside the restaurant and the live music that was playing. Our server was Bri and she was very helpful with suggestions and attentive. We ordered the fried pickles for an appetizer. They were ok, I did not care for the breading that they were fried in, seemed like it didn’t match going with the pickles. Their ranch that came with it was a bit different too my husband said it tasted almost like a dill ranch. Our fried pickles weren’t hot they were more warm. Onto our entrees, I ordered the uncle Harold’s famous catfish with collard greens and Mac n cheese. My Mac n cheese wasn’t hot either more of a warm temperature but my collard greens were hot. I would give it a 8/10. Fish had a great breading that it was fried in and the collard greens were really good. The Mac n cheese was good but it could almost be too cheesy/gooey consistency. My husband enjoyed his meal. He ordered Don’s turkey wing that came with rice. He chose the collards and yams for his sides. He said he didn’t care for the rice that it could have been the type of rice they used that would have made it a little better. He gave his dish an overall 8/10. Our meals came with a side of cornbread and although they said it was crumbling in the pan and asked if we still wanted it. We still opted to try it. I’m so glad we did because it was sooooo good. Very moist and melted in your mouth. My husband tried their peach empanadas for dessert and he really enjoyed the taste. He said it’s almost like a peach cobbler, the empanadas had a great crust to it and the filling was a great balance of peaches and cream. Everything was reasonably priced and tasted good.

Collard greens- this was the whole reason I stopped by and they did not disappoint 100/10
Mac and cheese- not my thing but some might like it, something in it was sweet.
Corn muffins- very good and came out fresh.
Surprisingly I think the best thing they had that I tried (so far) was a bite of the chicken from my daughter’s plate! The chicken was 100/10.
Great local place to try. Food is made fresh and prices are your standard soul food prices so nothing crazy.

We really enjoyed our time at cuzinz! Our food was great! We had the salmon croquette bites for the appetizer and they were excellent. I ordered the fried catfish and waffles and my husband the wings! Everything was hot, well seasoned and made with care. The environment is super cute and warm! We will definitely be back!

Great food, great service! Ordered the smothered pork chops, fried okra, and collard greens. Definitely recommend the wings appetizer! The cornbread was moist and delicious! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an alternative to the chain style restaurants in this area!

I fear I may be hyperfixating as I’m pregnant(lol) but the food is soooo good. I’ve had the fried chicken, oxtails, and smothered pork chops so far. For dessert, I’ve had the peach cobbler empanadas and the banana pudding. The banana pudding is smack ya momma good. I was sad when they didn’t have any the other day, but the chef came out to tell me that she felt the pudding was a little too brown and she wasn’t going to give me that. It’s so good, I almost told her don’t even worry about it and give it to me anyway. Again, I’m pregnant LOL. My only complaint is that the koolaid should have FREE REFILLs, it’s koolaid for goodness sake. Delicious red koolaid. See yall soon. Ok byeeee

Wow, the food was absolutely amazing! The baked chicken was so savory and super tender – it practically fell right off the bone! Our waitress was nice and really attentive to all our needs. Definitely coming back for another plate soon!

I had the Fried chicken Dinner…. Food came out pretty fast. It was HOT & FRESH. The flavor of everything was on point. Iyana was my server and she was very nice and made sure everything was perfect for my table. Will definitely be returning!

Food was amazing!! Service was quick on point and with a smile!!! Ambience of the restaurant is everything you need from the red deck to the bar to the sitting area going to the bathroom beautiful atmosphere along with a beautiful voice lighting up the whole place. Enjoyed will be back for sure
