We shared some of the feedback we had in person with our server, Darren, who was very friendly and handled our comments professionally and graciously, making sure to note them properly. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.
The wife and I came here because we were craving for steak. With Parqal’s long list of food selections to choose from we tried Cutt and Grill Manila as the place was new. As we enter the ambience was really great. The tap room/ jazz bar came to mind. Low dim lights and warm atmosphere what also came to mind is “this place is expensive.” But, I was wrong. Not only is the place warm and inviting but it is also moderate in price for a steak house.
Our servers are cordial and very enthusiastic in serving us. Our servers Aries, Darren and Jade gave us an excellent service from their mastery of the menu. They also took note that we do not eat pork and informed us right away what items on the menu contains pork. We were brought to our seats and was given information and promos as we were about to order, a testament to a well trained crew. I, also observed a transparent glass view of the kitchen. In my honest opinion, kitchens like these are proof of the chef and cooks’ confidence in their craft. The mastery of what they do and the cleanliness they exhibited impressed me. Their process in making our food brings me joy.
Now for the highlight of this review, the food.
The side dish: Grilled Brocolli with mashed potato had that smokey taste and aroma that comes with hints of garlic. That garlic smokey taste makes it a well rounded dish that I can eat alone with rice. The Mashed potato is smooth to the taste. The garlic bits are great addition to the texture of the dish.
The truffle fries was crispy especially the crust and a flavorful truffle flavor. I think it was cooked in truffle oil for this to be flavorful. The inside was airy and a bit dry, though it compliments well with the truffle cheese.
Pistachio Milk Cake was true to its name. A refreshing light pistachio taste. The cereal paired with strawberries, nuts and mint brings a refreshing taste to every bite. I do think its not for everybody, but I liked it.
The Black Angus Striploin was the highlight of our dining experience. The steak cooked on medium rare, the crusty layer of the steak is an experience. Presented and plated well on a custom steak board. Succulent and Flavorful. Truly, a delight to experience such a beautiful steak cooked to perfection.
Overall, I would come back again here soon. A restaurant worth a detour.
