Parents came to Michigan from LA to visit and Servers were very kind and always kept our drinks full. Food was awesome. i might be wrong with the name of the food we ate but, Higgins Philly, walleye roast and (shrimp tacos?). All 5 stars. as soon as we walked in we could see the Bar was full of customers for lunch time and that says it all for me.
Side note* dont talk politics with the fam when eating an awesome meal.

We had dinner from the Cut River Grille for the second time last night. The first time was takeout and the second we dined in. It was very busy, even on a snowy night. I believe Trinity was our server. We have been impressed with the food and service, especially considering there aren’t many restaurants in the area and usually they just serve fried bar food. We’ve had some of the grinder sandwiches, the beef stroganoff, and the French dip. All were really good. We recently purchased a second home in the area and like having a place with decent quality food near by. Will definitely be back!

Wow. I haven’t been up to the Higgins Lake area in quite some time, so I was surprised and impressed to pop into this restaurant. This is the restaurant that the area was lacking for quite some time. They had a great selection of craft cocktails, and a wide variety of wines. The menu is fantastic and includes something for everyone. I had the pumpkin spice Mule and the shrimp paradelle in Pomodoro sauce. The shrimp were so big I actually had to cut them with a knife! The noodles were homemade, and the sauce was too. All around it was a very good dining experience. I was seated quickly and my waitress was very friendly and attentive as well as the manager. Next time I am up here, I will definitely be back. It’s a fine dining experience for sure. They do live music, Thursdays and Saturdays and I’m told they have a trivia night as well. I highly recommend.

I had a lot higher expectations for this place than delivered. It is in such a nice location. We walked in and it seemed odd, a bar room to the right and restaurant in the back. It seemed like it needed some updating in terms of the seating to match the rest of the decor. Our server was super nice, but not very good. She didn’t check on my son and I much at all. I had to flag her down for a refill. I inquired if there was cheese on the club because it didn’t list cheese on the menu, but the little photo of it looked like there was cheese. She said no, there’s not cheese on it, I said great! And ordered that. As she’s bringing the food out, she said, hun there is cheese on it, and I asked what kind, she said American and Swiss and I said, yeah, no, I don’t want that. (Not to be rude, but she literally should have checked when I asked if she didn’t know, what server does that?). So I said I don’t want it with cheese. She took it away, I assumed they were just gonna peel the cheese off and I was correct, when it came back it looked messy as all hell. And it was cold. So that ruined my meal. My son wanted a pizza and I told him that was too much just for him, so he ordered the pepperoni naan appetizer for his meal and he said it was way too small. They need an in between size pizza. He said it was ok. We won’t be back, only thing that was nice was the view.

What a gem! Gorgeous spot on the river. Service and atmosphere was outstanding. My cod was a little on the dry side but I was so happy to be sitting on the patio at this lovely spot with great service. They even let my dog hang out on the other side of the patio fence while I ate and she enjoyed a splash in the river both before and after lunch.

We didn’t eat but the drinks were excellent and service was great. Our bartender Matthew was knowledgeable, kind, cool and proficient. Management was having trouble with wifi but made sure everyone was aware of cash only and were doing there best to solve their issues as quickly as possible. Which they eventually did. Their liquor selection was extensive and filled with many options. We were happy they had keno. Would definitely return. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Sitting outside on a warm summer evening was the perfect way to celebrate my MIL’s 70th bday. Drinks, apps, and meals were all excellent, as was the service. It is a little pricey for ‘up north’, especially in this area, but I personally found the quality to be on par with similar establishments in bigger cities. We stayed just under $30/person, but our party included several kids/teens that ordered sandwiches and water. Had it been my wife and I only we would probably be closer to $50/person.
