I ordered curry chicken and it didn’t look anything like the picture shown. It also tasted more like Tikki Masala and not curry and the portion size for $20 before tax and fees wasn’t worth the price. Food was good overall though. Might give it another try!

I’ve been to many places in Austin for Indian/South East Asian food and this is the best place I have been to. The food was wonderful and very fresh. The staff were friendly and attentive!

So so good and I will be back to try everything!!

We were just done with Ms malice’s graduation from ACC with an associates of Art in anthropology.

She’s immediately said I want to go to Curry kitchen.

This little shop has been around for a little bit and we don’t eat here as much as I’d like to say we do, but at least once every 6 months will come in.

Starting off the service is always excellent. Jay saw my wife ‘s graduation robes and immediately congratulated her.
Once we were seated and we had a chance to look at the menu, they even offered her a free alcoholic beverage which she did take a glass of wine. We’re not saying this because we think they’re going to give everybody a free glass of wine, but it happened for our experience so your miles may vary.

We started off with an appetizer called Pawnee Perry. It is a crisp puffed rice cracker. I believe that is filled with chickpeas and potatoes and you add a spicy sauce to it. It’s crispy, spicy, tangy and delicious. I highly recommend it.

For our main dishes my wife got the chicken biryani and I got the lamb biryani.

The portions for the entrees are huge. As you can see it is piled above the plate.

I didn’t take a picture of this but I only ate a third of mine.

You are asked what spice level you want. Medium is a three fives extreme. I got a four and it makes you sweat a little bit.

The wife got a three. She’s still sweated.

I love this place. It’s great experience and the food is really good. They do get busy at night so definitely try to stop it a little bit earlier in the evening to ensure a seat.

I got Paneer Chilli and Veg steam momos delivered. Both of them were very tasty and the momos were very good. I would definitely try again!

Very tasty food. Hot, savory and quickly served. No rush on a Saturday afternoon. I had the veggie combo plate. Ample amount of food served. Some protein and greens were a part of the food too. Not too oily either. I’m glad I tried this restaurant for lunch today.

The aromas coming from the restaurant is enough to entice you in. It is a quaint decor. The chutney was a nice surprise after being told that the kitchen was backed up, as you can see by the massive amounts of take out. To which it made me excited to see what the commotion was about. Samosa Chat and Lamb Choila came out, fairly quickly. Samosa was tasty and yet maintained a crunch on the exterior. The Lamb was beautifully tender and gave a nice heat so be warned.Chicken Vindalu and Lamb Saag followed and continued to impressed. Every dish cooked perfect. The service was friendly and attentive. I implore you to come in with the mentality to dine family style.

This has been the spot most frequently eaten at for myself and some co-workers. We cant say anything negative at all. The iced tea was not what we expected when we first came, but has become the single thing we look forward to when eating here. The tea is specific to this restaurant, because it’s a family secret blend. I never can remember the lady’s name (the owner I believe) but she is so welcoming and really make sus feel like we are part of the family….restaurant (pun intended) she already knows exactly what we want, other than what dish we choose, she knows we all want tea, 2 garlic naan, and rice with everything. She even knows if we will like the dish we want to try (if we havent) and will let us know if the spice level we ask for is actually what we will enjoy for that specific dish (because some dishes we actually enjoy really spicy, and others prefer mild spice). This was actually my first Indian restaurant as well, which in turn has made me appreciate the food so much, I started learning how to make it myself. Mind you, regardless how hard I try, its still not the same.

Best Indian food I’ve had. The naan was flaky, soft inside while crispy on the outside. The chutney assortment were all amazing, and the curry is next level. I love the vibe, it felt like an Indian restaurant, rather than a restaurant that serves Indian cuisine. Definitely authentic, warm and genuinely kind service, and extremely fair prices.
