I come here often on my lunch break and the service is always fast and friendly. The curries are rich, flavorful, and comforting every single time. Their garlic naan and basmati rice are perfect, and portions are generous too.

Whether you dine in or take out, the food comes out hot and delicious. Highly recommend if you love good Indian food

Serious hygiene issue. While dining in, we saw a cockroach crawl from under my friend’s plate and move toward my plate. This is extremely unacceptable and raises serious food safety concerns.
The food quality and taste were also very poor. Due to work commitments, I had to pay and leave quickly, leaving most of the food untouched.
I am mentioning the manager’s name, Mr.Mukesh, so that proper action can be taken and this issue is addressed seriously.

I’m from Ontario and visited Vancouver for the first time. I tried Curry Hut Indian Bistro and absolutely loved it! I ordered the Kadhai Paneer with Tandoori Naan and asked for regular spice level — they made it exactly how I wanted. After a long flight, the food genuinely felt like home. Their service was warm and satisfying.

I’m really happy with my experience and will definitely visit again whenever I’m back in Vancouver! ✨

Curry Hut Indian Bistro is a spacious restaurant with a comfortable ambience and quick, efficient service. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations — especially the lamb biryani. It was noticeably dry, and it was quite clear that it had been reheated in a microwave. Even the meat had lost its tenderness and was dried out, which completely affected the overall taste and quality.

Because of this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant for biryani. While the service and space are commendable, the quality of this particular dish was very disappointing.

The food at Curry Hut was good. The portions seem a bit small but the curry was tasty. We ordered Tandoori Prawn and Butter Chicken.

I got the Butter Chicken, chicken samosas, and butter naan. Unfortunately rice didn’t come with the curry. Had to order separately. The curry was very creamy. Chicken was tender. The chicken samosas are a must have. Minced chicken protons and peas wrapped up in baked bread. The butter naan went well with the butter chicken curry. Conveniently couple blocks from the Granville Skytrain station.

Pari was very helpful in giving advice about the foods, spiciness and portions to order. Food was very tasty and plenty of it.

I respectfully disagree with the claims made in your response.
The cockroach was clearly seen crawling from underneath my friend’s plate toward my plate during the meal. Upon noticing this, we immediately stood up and stopped eating. The remaining food was left untouched thereafter. Any partial consumption shown on CCTV occurred before the incident, not after it.
Regarding the lack of visible reaction on CCTV, discomfort and shock are not always expressed dramatically. We chose to leave quietly due to work commitments rather than create a disturbance inside the restaurant.
The presence of CCTV footage does not invalidate a hygiene issue, especially when pests can appear suddenly and may not always be clearly captured on camera angles or resolution.
This concern was raised to highlight a serious food safety issue, not to make misleading claims. The fact that an inspection was conducted afterward further supports that the concern was taken seriously.
I stand by my experience and feedback. Dismissing a customer’s genuine concern instead of acknowledging it and responding with empathy does not reflect good customer service or accountability.

This was the first time I had been to this new restaurant. The previous restaurant in the exact location was a hangout joint for my friends and me.

We went for lunch, and it was pleasant lunch. The prices were excellent. Manu was short and lunch focussed. I personally like that. All the dishes were under $14. Portions are huge. I was with my friend, and we both couldn’t finish our plates. I liked the taste, and it wasn’t too oily or heavy.

The only downside I saw was service. I think they should train their staff more. This is not a complaint more like a suggestion.

I would defiantly go back, and I would like to recommend this restaurant to you as well!

Solid 4. Lunch special review: Lamb curry. Asked for hot spicy – Though subjective, I felt the sauce was not spicy and a bit salty, semi flavourful. Naan was spot on crispy. Lamb was decent. “Salad” was a little sad. Lentils were okay.
