Solid Indian comfort food using locally available ingredients (taste wont match up 100% to back home or even north america/UK). After months of travel, this was exactly what we were craving. The restaurant has great music, a cozy, welcoming vibe, and super friendly owners. We went there 2x while we were in la paz.

Excellent Indian food in La Paz!

Curry House was an absolute highlight during my time in La Paz. The food was comforting, authentic, and full of flavour — especially impressive at this altitude. The Butter Chicken was rich and perfectly balanced, the Dal Tadka was warming and beautifully spiced, and the Jeera Aloo was simple yet delicious, just like home-style Indian cooking.

The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it a great place to unwind after exploring the city.

If you’re in La Paz and craving good Indian food, Curry House is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Not recommend – don’t know how this place has a 4+ rating. It was one of the worst and not authentic curry. We saw the Llama curry on the menu outside and decided to go in. We ordered and they said there is no llama curry. We end up having butter chicken and lamb saagi which both are the worst curry I had in my life. Butter chicken was super liquid and watery, doesn’t have the right taste. We couldn’t not speak spanish so they give us two of everything (Naan and Rice) which is way too much and charge way to much.

Hit this spot up for dinner and thought it was awesome. We had the Chana Masala and the Shashi Paneer along with garlic naans.

Both meals were great. They took a bit to arrive but nothing out of the ordinary. 155 Bolivieros for the meal.

The guys who worked there were good servers, the place was clean, the locations was excellent and we had a great experience.

I have no idea why this has 4+ stars as a review. Honestly the curry was ok at best but it was generally just so poor. So quick summary, the table cloth was pretty disgusting. The service was one chap having to run around and do everything while the boss sat behind in his chair. People literally sat for 10-15 mins getting zero service. Naan breads came out, no curry for 10mins. It was just really random, it didn’t feel clean and overall just pretty rubbish. Oh yeah and it was freezing inside! And I am not bothered by the cold normally. There is another Indian round the corner which I might try later but this wasn’t a good experience. Don’t normally like to write negative ones as everyone’s trying but this place is a 2.5star at best

I’m English, 23 years old. I’m confused, I have just eaten the best meal of my life. The Butter chicken – excellent, insane flavour, perfectly balanced. The garlic Naans – somehow even more perfect, than perfect. The onion bhaji – again, perfect. The best meal across the 22 countries I’ve been in. Best across South America. Honestly, genuinely worth it.

Was visiting La Paz from San Francisco and stumbled across this Gem. The food was extremely good and really had a unique take on some classics. We got Paneer Tikka Masala and Egg Curry. The food was flavorful and, to our surprise, felt like it was influenced by some of the local flavors as well, which is what i wanted. My neighborhood at home has more than 20 indian restaurants and i’d rather be at this place any day because of their unique take on things. I also think that the food came off as more “home cooked” then “restaurant”. I noticed that there was at least one non-indian who wrote a review saying its not authentic. They have probably only ever eaten at restaurants aimed at white people. Keep it up Curry House!

Wow! Seriously impressed with this place. The lamb curry was rich, tender and full of flavour, the onion bhaji perfectly crisp, and the chicken tikka masala was easily one of the best I’ve had. Everything tasted fresh, authentic and made with care. Can’t wait to come back.
