Gotta say, this is hands down the best chicken katsu curry I’ve ever had. Absolute perfection to the bones! The curry is so rich and flavorful, I promise you’ll be licking your plate clean!! The chicken is perfectly breaded, crunchy in all the right ways, and melts in your mouth. If you’re in Honolulu, this is a must-try. Fully recommended! 10/10.

My favorite Japanese Curry spot! They are located in McCully Shopping center. They have take out and dine in options. The seating area has choice of counter with view of the kitchen or booths. The staff is nice and sat us right away. I like to try different options all the time, but I recommend adding cheese with anything! This time we ordered Chicken Cutlet curry with cheese and kimchi, pork cutlet curry with cheese and gyoza, plain curry udon, shabu shabu beef and spinach udon with cheese, fried scallops and Baby tako. Everything was delicious! The value and quality of the curry here is amazing!

Great vegetable and oyster curry. Order extra curry sauce on the side in a bowl. The fried gyozas are great with soy sauce. I’m so full!

Heard about this place from my brother. Since my favorite foods are curry and katsu I had to try it. Found out it originated in Japan, so I had high expectations. The curry was good but the katsu detracted from the dish. I had the tonkatsu and my wife had the chicken katsu, but wasn’t up to Japan standards. Additionally both had a burnt taste. At first I thought they overcooked my tonkatsu but having tasted my wife’s chicken katsu, I think the problem was with the oil. They probably burned something else in the oil and of course once you do that, the burnt taste permeates everything else cooked in that oil. They probably need better oil management. This was a let down considering it’s a Japan based restaurant and every topping is deep fried. Other than that misstep this was good and filled me up.

This place brought back memories of the similar places I have visited in Japan. Food was really good and servings are huge. Also fast and attentive service

If I could give 0 stars I would.. I can tell they rushed to cook the food because it had no flavor. I asked for spicy and it didn’t even taste mild. I asked for scrambled egg they said they only serve sunny side eggs I proceeded to go with the sunny side egg and it was basically raw. I rhetorically asked the waitress if this is a sunny side and she said yes never in my 32 years of life have I ever seen a sunny side egg look like this. If you had coco’s in other places this is by far the worst one do not recommend.

Curry house is a staple for curry on Oahu. Tastes the same every time you go, very reliable.

Probably the 2nd best curry I had outside Japan. Coco is consistent through out Japan this one is not quite right. Only one spice level that doesn’t register, naan wasn’t toasty. Everything else was great.

If you want good Japanese curry without destroying your wallet, this is the place. Portions are generous and they have some menu options that I didn’t know existed based on my previous visits to this franchise. I had the fried oyster curry which isn’t an obvious curry dish, if you ask me, but it works!!! Flavorful and not overly spicy makes this an ideal place for a quick bite.

For a fast and reasonably priced lunch, look no further. We’ve been eating at Curry House long before moving to the island. Its curry tends to be on the mild side with a less complicated taste. I had the shabu shabu beef, which tasted fine but the quality of the beef was lacking, though I really couldn’t complain since it only costed me around $10. My wife’s chicken katsu that I had a taste was pretty good. The pickle was also what I remembered from the past.
