During our short stay at Pleasant Hill, visited Curry House while searching for Indian Restaurants. They serve varieties of Indian cuisine such as Samosas, Aloo Chaat, Pani Puri, Chicken Tikka, Naan, Pav Bhaji, Naan, Vada Pav and many more. As it was nearly closing time, we ordered only Soda and take away Plates of Lemon Rice with Chana Masala and White Rice with Dhal Saag. The dishes were well cooked and tasty.

The owner Jack was very nice. I went to pick up my order and he went over my online order with his computer to make sure it was correct. I saw the Vegetarian Basmati Rice and asked, if that was correct? The owner said yes and there were other rice and explained to me the different kinds. He even offered me some of the other rice they had for me to try. That was nice of him. I told him if I ordered from Naan and Curry I would see vegetables in it because I thought it read vegetarian briyani. He said he would update the website description about the rice. I said that would be good. My food was already ready before the pick up time since the set up of the restaurant is like a buffet.
I got home and tried the food and it was good. I think I would go back and try the samosas because the samosas chat was soggy and it did have a “kick” to it, but it wasn’t long lasting. The other two rice were tasty.
Today was the second day (9/10/22) they are fully open so I’m hopeful they’ll be around as I believe this is the only Indian placed in Pleasant Hill. I will be back to try their samosas.
P.S. I like the freezer with frozen treats, but maybe have a sign on the outside or inside with the bars explaining the flavors. I’m sure it was over looked, but this would help with your sales.

Stay Away!! I was excited when there was an Indian restaurant in the area that sells popular Indian street food. But that’s not the case, We went here at 5 pm, first of all, there was not even a single person. We tried to order a few chaats from the menu and the person said it was not available and for veg burger with chips he said he never heard of that stuff on the menu. And all the fried items like samosa, and spring rolls were pre-made. Even Naan was pre-made. Also it is not worth the money, the portions are small. Worst service ever and I don’t know if I will ever be visiting this place again.

We have a local Indian restaurant, what the whaaaaaaat???!!!! All of my dreams are coming true. The food is fast and healthy (full of veggies, even had a kale curry!!).
The owners are 2 young guys, Punjabi & South Indian, and so incredibly sweet and friendly. A really warm vibe, perfect place for families. I spent $53 on dinner for 4 kids and me (I even have leftovers)!
The spice point is right on, flavorful without being too spicy. I like it hot, but my kids not so much. Kulfi was delicious.
They are waiting for their hood, liquor license, etc. and soon there will be kati rolls and more South Asian street food. The food will only get better and better as their kitchen equipment comes in!!! So grateful

It was my first time to this place, the food was dry, portions are small, pretty sure the Nan was bought and heated up, and for the price of what you got, it was expensive, after looking at what was dished up for me, I should-have left it and requested my $ back. I think I was given the bottom/last of what was in the pans for rice, Dahl saag, no gravy/juice at all in the chicken dishes- so disappointed, I will not be back.

I always order Chicken Tikka Masala at a new Indian restaurant. The chicken was tender and the sauce was bland. I ordered plain basmati rice. The rice tasted sweet and had green herbs in it.
The portions were small and expensive ($14.00 without tax.

Thumbs up to the nice workers, but thumbs down for no lassi or chai available. Food looks like it’s served Panda Express style (sitting in chafing dishes) I would probably come here for a quick bite but wouldn’t say it’s authentic. Was looking forward to the Pani puri but they didn’t have any puris. Maybe next time.

Does not taste like indian at all. We ordered appetizers , pani puri and samosa chaat. Food was stale and their chutneys tasted synthetic

The person behind the counter was one of the nicest people I have met . So pleasant she offered an old couple to take the food out to the car .
Unfortunately food not spicy enough for people of Indian origin .
