the food is good, Tom yum not really flavor full, they are not thai, not much seafood and with crab sticks, you don’t have options with the tip it start only at 18%(Hate it actually). sesame chicken $23 quite expensive without rice, beef fried rice was delicious.

I discovered this amazing Malaysian restaurant last Saturday during a #Chinatownlegacytours flavors of food experience . The food was delicious by far with flavors that I have never had before. I fell in love with the curry chicken with potatoes stew and their fried chicken wings were crispy/hot. They offered us delicious Iced Thai tea, it definitely hit the spot. The atmosphere was nice , comfortable seating for big/small groups and super friendly staff. I plan to come back with family and friends soon.

Food was excellent and the portions were big. Some of the standout dishes we had were the taro nest, satay chicken (my father put the peanut sauce on everything!), curry beef stew and hokkien noodles. Service was great and the owner gave us red beans shaved ice to try! Can’t wait to go back to try other dishes.

Best place to bring a group of family and friends in the heart of Chinatown in Manhattan. Asian cuisine is meant to be shared like appetizers as pictured. Have everyone order what they want and then put in the middle to be shared.

The service was prompt and atmosphere was casual. Food was delicious and easily shared. Everyone was full at the end and able to try everything. Great place to be at and it does not disappoint.

The food, the ambiance, the staff, are all so amazing. My friend and I came in on a really cold night last month, and we were in need of a warm cozy meal. AND THIS PLACE DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We got the roti canai, chicken satay, and a beef noodle soup, and they were all to die for. If you go and must only order one thing, you have to get the chicken satay. The peanut sauce was absolutely delectable and the chicken was so tender and flavorful that it was life changing.

This is some of the best food that I have ever eaten. I couldn’t finish my noodles so I even brought them home to my mom, and even she was in awe of how tasty they were AND HOW MUCH MEAT THERE WAS??

The restaurant owner also gave us some soy milk on the house which was so sweet 🙂

Please come here, it will change your life

Curry House, Manhattan NYC- Kind of skeptical when I first walked into this restaurant. I have to be honest here, probably my last 15-20 visits to Malaysian restaurants have been mediocre at best and some were really disappointed. There are overly sweet, under seasoned and used of spices & herbs, lack of the basic characteristic of Malaysian cuisine and shortcuts…..”Americanized” in one word. You can’t just throw in some chilies, lemongrass, limes, coconut milk, spices, herbs and call it Malaysian. They need to be spicy, sweet, sour, rich, well balanced of spices and herbs….. and this place has it all. We were lucky enough to meet the owner Jennifer, a warm, friendly, caring and deep knowledge of Malaysian foods. Her celebratory Lunar New Year dish recommendations were beyond spectacular especially the “Lo Hei” prosperity salad. You can taste the texture from all different kind of vegetables, colorful, tantalizing, well presented and served with a sweet, sour and salty plum dressing on the side to drizzle in as you toss it….. It’s a very well composed salad and you can see and taste all the labor they put into it. Scrumptious! All the dishes that we ordered were delicious and beyond our expectations! Highly recommended!

I liked the spacious , clean setting and dine in comfortably. The soups are tasty and loved my seafood noodle. Also priced very reasonably. The BGM was like the younger generations in a retail store with the upbeat,
I’d like more easy listening there to relax eating. I would recommend this restaurant and will go back to try other menus they offer soon.

They’ve gone downhill since when they opened a few years ago. I’m assuming their curry chicken is not popular so the turnover is slow. The chicken was dry and hard and they gave 1 potatoe but it was old and dry. The yellow rice they make now that goes with the Haianese chicken is also not good. The type of rice they use is not good. You don’t serve old food or bad food just to get rid of it so it doesn’t seem like a waste if you were to have thrown it out. It’s 1piece of potatoe, was there not any other pieces of potatoe left?

It was my first time trying Curry House after a friend recommended it, so I decided to order takeout. I went with the Kapitan Noodle (Malaysian), a pan-fried udon dish tossed in dark soy sauce with pork, chicken, squid, and shrimp. It looked amazing and smelled even better.

Unfortunately, the noodles were a letdown. The udon was overcooked, it wasn’t spongy or bouncy. Since the noodles are the star, it really fell flat for me, which was disappointing. I also tried the baby oyster omelette—it was fine, but nothing special, as I’ve had better… Meh!
