Best halal pick-up option in Tahoe. We stayed for two days in Tahoe and had their food for two times. Really liked the staff and food. We had chicken biryani, wrap, chicken chilli dry, tandoori boti and (tea, 3 times). Also, their serving size is very reasonable. Higly recommended!!

A Must-Try in Tahoe!

During my trip to Tahoe, I tried various cuisines—Japanese, Italian, Mexican, and more—but nothing came close to the food at Curry & Grill. The food was absolutely delicious, with soft, fresh naan and perfectly seasoned paneer.

The staff were courteous, friendly, funny, and quick, making the experience even better. Unlike many Indian restaurants, their food felt light. I didn’t feel thirsty afterward, a true sign of the quality ingredients they use.

I loved it so much I went back twice and will definitely return whenever I’m in town. This place is a rare gem and highly recommended!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. When my food arrived, I found a hair in it, which is completely unacceptable. To make things worse, when I returned the food, the staff did not accept it back or make things right. This shows a serious lack of professionalism and care for customers. I’d strongly not suggest anyone going here for rice

I’d give a 0 star if I could. We ordered dal and paneer curry, and specifically requested that rice be soft and fully cooked. They promised over the call that it’s soft. But it was only half-cooked. Dal had big chunks of chilli powder unmixed. Naan and paneer curry were just ok. We also got only one order of rice for 3 orders of curries in total.

While we understand it could get a bit off beat during weekends due to the inflow of orders, but I’d expect the orders to be cooked well and served to the quantity at the least, regardless of how it tastes.

I’d strongly not suggest anyone going here for rice.

Wanted Indian food and found this place. Waiting for food took 30mins. Can’t say good or not even bad. Just to satisfy your Indian taste buds this is ok to have. Don’t order hot and spice chicken soup it’s not actual soup it’s looks like spicy curry. Overall it’s just ok for Indian and for sour india people it’s ok ok food. Heads-up this is not proper Indian food which you will in your local place india restaurant. People are very good and welcome.

Chicken tikka was very disappointing. It came out overly colorful in a way that didn’t look natural and the chicken itself tasted spoiled and off. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a pleasant experience & I couldn’t finish the dish. I hope the restaurant improves the quality & freshness of their food.

One of the few, best places to get food in South Lake Tahoe. Hole in the wall pickup Indian Fare off the side of the convenience store. Consistently tasty and authentic. My go-to lunch spot

We recently ordered here and had the chicken biryani – see photo attached. The food was abysmal. The biryani lacked salt and any flavors. Only vegetable we saw was onion and the biryani was full of red coloring (not red spice) as seen in this picture.

We had a craving for Indian food and decided to stop here as the reviews seemed good. Not sure what happened but what we got was the furthest from a biryani for $20. Also, the wait time was close to 20 mins. We wouldn’t have mind the wait time if the food would have been great. Only good things were the cashier seemed nice and he filled the food container to the max. Would not recommend at all.

Don’t let the outside of this spot fool you. It is tucked in a counter in the back of a liquor store. Go pick up or get delivery anyway.

The Indian food was comparable to many places in the Bay Area. We got the Chicken Tikka masala and the Saag Paneer. Both were great, but the saag was a surprising winner of the two. The Tikka masala had great flavor but I prefer my sauce a bit on the thicker side, theirs was on the thin side. Nevertheless we very much enjoyed everything we got. The food definitely exceeded expectations and was served piping hot, very fresh.

The staff was very kind as well. While I was waiting for my food (I got there early), I was asked to be helped 5 times. Very friendly.
