We visited Curry Flavor twice during our stay, and both experiences were excellent. The food was outstanding on both occasions.

Our first visit was for dinner, and considering the authentic quality of the dishes, the prices were surprisingly reasonable for New York. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day for lunch.

We eat Indian food regularly and were genuinely impressed by the flavors and authenticity here. The service was attentive and very friendly, and the owner personally took the time to talk with us, which made the experience even more pleasant.

From the outside, the restaurant doesn’t look particularly inviting, and the interior is quite simple rather than cozy. But if you’re looking for truly good food, this is exactly the place. Curry Flavour delivers excellent, authentic Indian cuisine at fair prices.

Highly recommended for anyone who values great Indian food over fancy decor.

Hidden gem in the heart of the East Village with some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had (and I lived in India for 5 years!). The food is super fresh and flavorsome, with very generous serving sizes for the prices. Do not miss their chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, and dal makani (vegetarian samosas highly recommended too!). The people who work there are lovely and the wait time is always quick. Our new favorite spot for Indian in the city!

Great lunch specials! Super tasty Indian food served cheerfully and in large portions. Chana masala was a lovely mix of spices, not your standard one note dish. The red lentils had a rich, nutty flavor and the veggie of the day, which came with the special, was shredded cabbage and cauliflower cooked in a blend of yummy spices. The special also came with rice or bread of your choice. I opted for the roti (which was vegan) and it was the perfect vehicle for dipping and wrapping. Service was fast & friendly and the restaurant was clean and bright. Definitely recommend for a quick or leisurely lunch!

Stopped by Curry Flavor for a quick snack and I’m so glad I did! I just wanted something small, so I grabbed a Mango Lassi, a naan and chicken tikka masala! Everything was fresh, piping hot, and full of flavor. It’s the perfect spot to duck into when you want high-quality food without a full sit-down commitment. Fast service and friendly vibes. I’ll definitely be back for a full meal!

I’ve been to plenty of Indian places in New York and this place is delicious! The samosa chaat was one of the best dishes I have ever had, and the chicken tikka is really delicious. The service was fantastic as well! It seems to be a family establishment, the folks welcome you in and are very attentive. We originally were going to order the regular samosas as well, and the waiter convinced us to only try one at a time so we didn’t get too much food for only two. I mean, how lovely? And the atmosphere is very cozy and wonderful as well. This is my new go to spot!

The food is delicious! I had the chicken vindaloo which the server told me would be VERY spicy, and they did not lie. It was very spicy, but I love spicy! I’m sure if you want less spice you can let the server know. I also got the garlic naan, and it was yummy. My friend got the Chana masala in the 4th photo.

The serving size for the chicken wasn’t that much and it costs $17 so keep that in mind. The serving size for the rice is pretty large.

The server was great, and the food came out at a reasonable pace.

Happy surprise! Place we were intending to go was closed. What an incredibly lucky accident! The food is incredible. The best garlic naan I’ve ever had. You have to try the fried okra. Damn good curries, too. Will come back and back and back.

Curry Flavor in the East Village is an absolute gem! The food was incredibly tasty, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Whatever you do, make sure you order the garlic naan- it was the best we’ve ever had! We can’t wait to come back.

The food was delicious! We got garlic naan, vegetable tikka masala, and saag paneer. The staff was very good at constantly checking on our table and friendly. The only thing we did notice which wasn’t a huge kill for us but we felt it, was that it was warm and felt like there was no AC. However our food and service experience was great. Would come back!
