Came in for a full meal and tried the Ishiyaki Curry (Spicy) combo. It came with Chicken Katsu, a side salad, a drink, and I added an order of Fried Gyoza.

Visited on a Sunday between 4-5 PM and was pleasantly surprised—no wait at all and the service was very attentive throughout the meal.

The Food:
Ishiyaki Curry: The flavor of the curry was good, but even though I ordered it with cheese, I didn’t really taste the cheese at all once it was mixed in.
Sides: The Fried Gyoza was a nice addition, but the Chicken Katsu was just okay—nothing particularly special compared to other spots. The side salad was a good, fresh palate cleanser for the heavy meal.

The Hot Pot:
BE CAREFUL! The Ishiyaki stone bowl is extremely hot and stays that way for a long time. It definitely keeps your food warm, but it’s easy to burn yourself if you aren’t paying attention.

Pro-Tip for diners:
Since the stone bowl is so hot, the curry sauce boils away and thickens up very quickly. If you like your curry more liquid, you might want to ask for free extra sauce on the side to keep the rice from getting too dry toward the end.
Decent spot for a hot meal.

Curry Do is a pretty good Japanese curry place. I was glad to find a place closer to me. Our server was very nice and sweet. Pricing was a bit on the expensive side. They’re having a deal where kids under 12 eat free on the weekdays. You do have to get one adult meal to get one free kid meal. They also have Happy Hour Monday-Friday 3-7pm.

* Curry with half Chicken Katsu & half Shrimp Tempura 4.5/5 – The curry was yummy. Katsu chicken was crispy. The shrimp was not bad. Only thing is I was told I could do half and half for proteins, but they didn’t mention the extra $3 charge.

* Kids Meal 5/5 – I didn’t try the food, but it looked good and had nice portions of rice, proteins, and vegetables.

* Strawberry Milk 5/5 – Delicious, creamy strawberry milk with a perfect sweetness.

We went to Curry Do after my son’s soccer practice. They don’t give you a paper menu, so you have to scan a QR code, which I don’t really like. My wife helped order three dishes.

The food tasted good. But overall, we like the taste better at Maji Curry. Good spot for a quick lunch.

We had an amazing experience at Curry Do, thanks to Astrid, who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. She recommended their signature curry plate with katsu chicken, and it was absolutely incredible crispy, flavorful, and comforting in all the right ways. We also tried the fried tofu, shrimp tempura udon, and of course, more of the katsu chicken because it was just that good. The surprise star of the night was the layered crepe cake light, perfectly sweet, and worth every single bite. Astrid is such a gem warm, helpful, and so kind She’s a great addition to the Curry Do team, and I’ll definitely be coming back for all of these dishes again!

I recently visited Curry Do and tried the Chicken Katsu Curry — it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly: crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and everything tasted fresh and full of flavor.

The service was just as impressive. Nori and Vanessa were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. It’s always nice when great food is matched by equally great service.

Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving quality Japanese curry. We drove out from Riverside and will be back, definitely worth the drive!

Curry Do in Tustin offers a casual dining experience with a friendly and welcoming staff. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with smiles and attentive service.
I decided to try the rice curry with pork belly, and it was an absolute treat. The portions were generous, and the dish was packed with tender and flavorful pork belly. While potatoes and carrots are optional additions, they provide a nice touch of healthy vegetables, complementing the flavorful curry.
The combination was simply delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and plan on returning to Curry Do often to explore more of their menu.
Overall:
* Food: Excellent
* Service: Friendly and efficient
* Ambiance: Casual and inviting
* Value: Good value for the generous portions
Recommendation: Highly recommended for a satisfying and flavorful meal.

This is easily the best Japanese style curry I’ve ever had in SoCal. It’s not a perfect replica of true authentic Japanese food – to note, their eggs are made sunny side up instead of scrambled and they don’t offer a beef steak style meat option but I think keeping the menu to a limited number of options helps them to refine what’s actually available on the menu. That being said, their take on the curry is surprisingly good and the prices are in line with other restaurants these days. When I went, the place was surprisingly empty so I didn’t have to wait. The vibes were pleasant and parking was easy to find. Highly recommend this place!

Curry_Do – A Flavorful Experience in Tustin!

I recently visited Curry_Do in Tustin, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm, cozy atmosphere that sets the tone for the meal. The staff, Vanessa, was incredibly friendly and attentive, giving recommendations.

As for the food, it was amazing! The curry had the perfect balance of spice and flavor, with rich, aromatic sauce that tasted fresh and authentic. I ordered the shrimp tempura Curry, and it was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and satisfying. The portion was generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and taste.

If you’re a fan of authentic curry or looking to try something new, Curry_Do is definitely worth a visit.
