Tried this unassuming little place in Mt. Washington for trivia on a Sunday night. Not a big variety on the menu, but what they cook up is pretty solid. The veggie burger is a handmade black bean patty, which surprised me. I expected a mass produced frozen patty. Seasoned fries are the way to go. Friendly service, laid back environment, and limited seating.

Great dive bar. Fast, friendly service. They have a small beer selection, but it’s cheap. Food menu is also limited, but that means it’s always fresh! I prefer to come in during off-peak times, as the regulars can be a bit annoying.

This place is definately a dive bar. There is literally enough parking in the front for 3 cars. The shops have an open lot a little up the road across from Pizza Boilis if there isn’t any available. When you walk in you walk straight into the bar, it wraps around a little and there are a couple of ables by the front window and more at the end of the bar. The bar is fully stocked with about 6 beers on tap and daily specials. The sound system is the newest thing in the place along with the flat screen TVs (there are 3). The music sounds great in the space. The food is good and made to order. You can see the kitchen through a small window at the Bar. The staff is always polite and attentive. I ordered the BBQ Burger with curly fries. The burger was fresh and tasted good. Some of the curly fries we’re cold when the food came to the table. It wasn’t an issue for me just noticeable. With the platter came a huge pickle spear and probably two large McDonald’s fry size orders. Let’s just say I left food on the table. The atmosphere was chill for a Thursday night and they had football on. I’d like to go back to see what it’s like when the Ravens are playing.

Yesterday, I stopped in for a beer at the Curb Shoppe located on Falls Road at Kelly, and what a fun little spot. I found it to be staffed by a very friendly owner, Paul, and some very chatty patrons. They also had some great daily specials including half-prices wings on Wednesdays and 25oz draft beer on Fridays for $4.50. Let’s check them out sometime soon!

Classic local hangout. Amiable crowd, pool table, expanded selection of draft beers. No brewed iced tea is a bummer. Parking is non-existent. You’re on your own. Worth the experience.

SO DISSATISFIED. This is the 1st time I’ve ever been here and just did not enjoy myself. I’ve been hanging out at this spot for a few years now. Great atmosphere, but since its been under new management things have gone down a bit. We ordered wings and mozzarella sticks. It took almost 30 mins to get the sticks, which were pretty good but a little longer for the wings which were horrible and taste like just hot grease by time we got them. My friend ordered chicken tenders. She ordered before I even arrived and got her food 20 mins behind my wings. They were terrible. It looked as though the cook used a chicken breast and just sliced and deep fried it. There was no batter and the plate had a puddle of grease. Then we noticed one of the patrons wearing their coat standing inside the kitchen with the cook having a conversation. We then observed another patron in the kitchen a few mins later just hanging out again. We over heard the young lady next to us mention that both of these people we not workes but in fact “my friends”. To end on a positive note, though I’m not a beer drinker, I’ve noticed that they have expanded their selection. Additionally, they have upgraded the bathrooms and juke box.

Typical neighborhood dive bar. Cheap drinks and fresh cooked BBQ sandwiches. Fast service as well even when full. Triva is fun on Sunday night at 7pm. Bar tabs for the winning 1sr, 2nd and 3rd place teams. All you need is at least 2 people! Lots of fun!

A classic Baltimore dive. Food is much better than you would expect – plus they have jello shots. Bartenders are fantastic: they have your next drink ready to go before you even order it.

Good wings. Good burgers. Good drinks. Don’t expect fancy salad or fancy dinks or even a fancy beer selection. Just a friendly place to watch the game and have some bar food.
