The baked chicken breast is dry and it tastes like vinegar and lemon and possibly dill too, I did not like it and I could not eat it. The collard greens were salty. The only decent food I got to eat was the fried wings and the Mac n cheese and cornbread. I’m so sad I chose baked chicken breast. I paid $24 for all.

Tried this place based on the reviews and close to our location. So glad we found this place, it was wonderful! The fried green tomatoes were outstanding. Although, there was a lot of fried food it was very very good and did not set heavy. The portions were large, made fresh to order and well seasoned.

Such a good place! Was skeptical the first time but so glad we decided to go for it. Now i’ve been back many times since! I always order the salmon, it’s so good. The portions are very generous and the cornbread is such a nice addition to the plate! The staff is fun and welcoming and have even provided uno cards to play while waiting for our food. Love cuppys ❤️

Mannnnn, this place was phenomenal! I haven’t been to a mom & pops shop in a long time, but this right here is the truth. I was praying for the food to be good and they definitely didn’t disappoint! Mrs. Cuppy and Mr. Tim were fabulous host along with their wonderful staff. A round of applause was had as the food tasted like it was made in heaven. I’ll definitely travel 3hrs just to eat there again. God’s blessing is upon them!

This place gets a true 5 stars. I called for two last minute catering orders for the holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) and they were able to accommodate the orders. They were so kind and also helped bring the food out to the car. They helped me figure out the right order to get the best pricing and I am very impressed. The food is delicious and the customer service is on point. My family raved about how great the food was. They will continue to get my business.

This was my favorite soul food restaurant for years, would order multiple times a month but then I moved and haven’t had them in over 6 years until recently. We placed a relatively large order over the phone for carryout, the woman who took our order was very sweet. One of the issues is their menu online is out of date and hopefully it gets updated soon, some of the food they no longer serve and obviously there is a price increase. Upon arrival our food was ready, the staff was sweet and the new location looks great! The reason why my rating is low is due to the taste/quality of the food. Picture wise and smell wise the food is perfect but the only food that had good flavor were the smothered turkey chops. The mashed potatoes reminded me of bulk food service quality like old country buffet. The collard greens and green beans tasted canned. The macaroni lacked seasoning. I honestly would be willing to try again and maybe eat there to see if there is a difference vs carryout.

I enjoy Cuppy’s. My meal was great. I compared it to my favorite restaurant in Lansing called Gregory’s and Gregory’s inched in for the win only because Cuppy’s Mac n Cheese was not very good. But their Whiting Fish and Yams are top tier!!

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with great hospitality from the friendly staff, who made me feel right at home.
The standout dish for me was definitely the candied yams. They were perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of sweetness and a hint of spice. I couldn’t get enough of them! The overall quality of the food was also great, with a variety of options to choose from.
However, I must mention that the fried wings I ordered had very little meat on them, which was slightly disappointing. Nonetheless, the flavor and seasoning were still good, so it wasn’t a complete letdown. I just wish there was more meat on the bones. Additionally, I found that some of the dishes were a little too salty for my taste, but the flavors were still enjoyable.
