Ordered delivery. Tandori was good. Eggplant was sour. Naan was underdone. Rice was extra. But the worst of the overall meh, was the “homemade ice cream” at $6 ea for 1/8-1/4C of old, freezer burnt, melted and refrozen ice cream. Look at what $12 gets you here. Ugh! Whatever good rep this place had is being squandered by apathy.

Cumin offers a solid selection of Indian and Nepalese dishes in a spacious and comfortable setting. We ordered the chicken momo, Gorkhali Khasi (goat curry), tandoori chicken, Bhindi Masala (okra), and garlic naan – all very flavorful, with the tandoori arriving perfectly charred and sizzling. Overall, a good choice for a casual Indian and Nepalese meal in Wicker Park.

This Michelin Bib Gourmand resto is excellent!!!

Their lunch menu is priced nicely but whats best is the quality of the food!!

Ordered palak paneer and chicken tikka masala with basmati rice. Added a side of veggie samosa. The green and tamarind chutney sauce was exceptional!

Definitely will be back for more nepalese indian cuisine.

The food was very disappointing. The Chicken Momo’s came out COLD, without flavor. I ordered the Okra, which was slightly undercooked in addition to being under seasoned. The bathrooms had a yucky smell that one would expect from a fast food joint, or somewhere less upscale. Overall, very disappointing experience, especially given the price and recognitions this place has received. Ultimately, my experience was being served food that I would be ashamed to serve to someone else.

All good.

Hot summer morning breakfast in Chicago went by spending a savourful time at the restaurant with a cup of MASALA CHAI and a plate of VEGETABLE SAMOSA CHAT.

MASALA CHAI tasted like simple CHAI without any masala but the VEGETABLE SAMOSA CHAT was filled with plate full of two samosas smashed and bathed with chat spices, peanuts and chutneys that proved to be a great brunch in the hot summer.

The service was great and was completely managed with grace and empathy by Miss. Ruhi M.

Thank you for having me.

I could eat here every day of my life. I had the Mixed Vegetable Pakora, Chana Masala, and Vegetable Biryani, made vegan. It was so delicious. I can’t wait to come back to Cumin (and I hope they deliver to my house)!

Honestly best biryani I’ve had in the City. I come here often with my husband, and along with the mango Lassi’s we recommend their lamb biryani. Keep in mind this is pakistani style biryani which is spicy unlike the Indian counterpart. So please ignore the other review about the biryani as I’m pretty sure they were expecting Indian style biryani.

Some of the best Indian food we’ve had. Each curry the group got was delicious, from the chicken to lamb to chickpea dishes. Mango Lassi was fantastic with a rich creamy fruit flavor.

One of my favorite places to eat in the neighborhood. I always get the lamb boti masala, it’s one of the best I’ve had. They are always very nice to me when I go there. I definitely recommend it to everyone!
