We finally went to Culver’s this weekend. It was our first visit, though I wasn’t in the mood for a burger so I had the fish sandwich. Boy I gotta tell you that was one of the best fish sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. The buttery soft bun and Wisconsin cheese which I believe is two of their trademarks was fabulous! The fish was a nice thick breaded cod, I could not tell if the tartar sauce was their own but it was delicious as well. Crinkly fries were cooked to a perfect crunch with a nice flavour. We are definitely going back to try their burgers and custard shakes. If they taste as good as I think they will then I see no reason to visit any of the old establishments.

I enjoyed my lunchtime visit to this outlet of Culvers. The staff were pleasant and attentive to the customers and the state of the seating area. My food arrived relatively quickly and tasted good.

I’ve been to a dozen or so Culver’s over the years. This one is just fine. The food was very good and warm. I always love it when things are burning hot but it’s hard to get a burger to be very hot when it has lettuce, etc on it, I guess. The service is always the best with a whole bunch of bright young teen kids running around taking care of your needs and your order, without even begging for tips. Mainly this is a great place to bring your family. Maybe not as cheap as McDonald’s, but it’s a fun experience for the kids. The burgers are always good, the cheese curd is great, but of course the best thing is the custard and she’s fantastic. I would recommend the Turtle Sundae. When I pay for extra with cream I really want a ton of it piled on! I don’t often get that.

I have always been happy with the fish but decided to try a mushroom burger. I had to hunt for a mushroom and was disappointed that there were so few mushrooms on the burger making it very dry. The staff also seemed stressed and there was no greeting or smiles. My hubby had the fish dinner and the roll was beyond hard, but the fish was good! I will stick with the fish from now on.

Seems like the quality of their beef has gone down, but their prices sure haven’t. Sauce doesn’t come with your fries or onion rings. 33 cents for each sauce. Ridiculous. But hey, it’s just making it easier to say no to eating out, so maybe it’s a good thing!

Our visit to Culvers, last night, was very satisfying! Our fish & chips were cooked just right! Our shakes were delicious! We did have a little problem, when we first got home, without one of our meals. We called and went back, Culvers employees couldn’t have been nicer. They gave us a fresh cooked fish dinner!

Culver’s, where burgers and fries shine! The only “saucy” situation I encountered was that my burger didn’t quite have enough sauce to satisfy my taste buds. It’s a good thing I didn’t turn into the Incredible Hulk out of anger! Remember, when it comes to takeout, be the sauce boss and grab some extra for those flavor emergencies. Despite the sauce slip-up, Culver’s still flips the competition and remains a solid choice among fast food burgers.
