Reviews
Stopped by the Culver’s in Columbia, Missouri while headed to St. Louis, and I was honestly impressed. The moment you walk in, the place feels clean, welcoming, and well-kept. The staff greeted me right away with friendly energy and great customer service. They didn’t rush me at all — gave me time to look over the menu and even helped me decide on what to try.
I went with the three-piece fish platter with cheese curds and fries. They let me know upfront it would be about an eight-minute wait on the fish, which I actually appreciated — that’s how you know it’s fresh. And when it came out, it did not disappoint. Hot, crispy, and full of flavor.
Despite it being busy, the team handled the crowd like pros, and there was plenty of seating available. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’ll definitely be stopping by again on my way back through town. Just shy of a perfect score, but close enough to keep me coming back!
The only thing I can nitpick is the frozen food taste. Sometimes that happens hince the 4 out of 5 on food quality.
The cashier was polite and immediately started to prepare the missing items. While she was doing so, someone who appeared to be a manager or supervisor began yelling from the kitchen, stating that the order had already been made. The cashier explained that I did not receive the items, but the supervisor continued yelling, demanded to see my receipt, and refused to remake the food.
I was then told I had to bring all of the food back into the restaurant to prove the items were missing, even though my family had already started eating. I felt as though I was being treated like I was trying to steal. I asked instead if someone could come to my car to verify, since these were my personal food items and I could not take food back from people who were already eating.
The cashier came to my car with me. I opened all the doors and showed her every bag and item. She confirmed that the missing items were not there. When we returned inside, a young man stated that he packed the order and insisted the food was included, implying that I was wrong. The cashier spoke up and confirmed again that the items were not in the car.
Eventually, I was given the missing food and the cashier apologized. She was the only person during this experience who demonstrated proper guest service. By the time everything was resolved, my burger and fries were cold.
We were traveling and chose curbside specifically to avoid delays and get back on the road quickly. This situation caused a significant delay and defeated the entire purpose of using curbside service. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled was unacceptable. Being yelled at, accused, and forced to prove missing items turned a simple fix into a very uncomfortable experience.
Please reach out personally to follow up on this matter and demonstrate that you genuinely care and want to take action. This situation should be used as a learning opportunity for the management team to ensure issues are handled correctly and respectfully the first time. Before sending a generic response directing me to contact us at contactculver.com, I did attempt to do so, but the form limits the number of characters and does not allow for a full explanation of issues. I look forward to hearing from you.
