I visited this location twice, but both times I experienced poor customer service. Despite having the receipt, the cashier disputed my milkshake order, and another staff member had a condescending attitude and lacked eye contact. Although it’s a fast-food establishment, customers expect their orders to be fulfilled correctly with satisfactory service. Due to these issues, I won’t be returning.

I wish I could give this more ratings based on the management alone. They are △⃒⃘lways kind and willing to make an adjustment/correction if there is an issue with an order. After waiting 20 minutes in the drive thru. Unfortunately, this is the only location on my way home and they seem to △⃒⃘Lways mess up my order. I advise everyone to check your items before leaving the establishment. I’m sure they’re tired of me constantly calling but I guess I keep hoping it’ll change. Although the Staff is kind and friendly, they could do better with verifying the orders before giving them out.

Jalen is amazing! Such a wonderful, polite and patient young man. Took my kids and their friend out to eat and they all upgraded their drinks to a shake and out of kindness, he still gave them a drink on him. Can’t find kindness like that often. Truly appreciated him and as always, the food was amazing!!! Never get a bad meal from here. Thank you Jalen for making me realize good people still do exist. ❤️

I had a great experience at Culver’s thanks to the manager, Dannie. He was incredibly informative about the restaurant and the menu items, which made ordering easy and enjoyable. He had a very welcoming demeanor and was overall extremely kind. I really appreciated the effort he put into making the experience so positive. Great customer service!

Had the worst experience at this Culver’s the other day. I ordered two single scoops at the drive thru, one the flavor of the day with hot fudge and the other vanilla with hot fudge. Got to the window. The guy took my kids scoop coupons and looked annoyed that we had them in the first place. Then we pulled forward. Countless cars were delivered their food after us. Two of the guys delivering food try to hand us random bags of food because they weren’t sure probably why we were still waiting. We told both of the guys that we’ve been waiting for over 20 minutes and ordered two scoops. They went inside and came out with food for more people. I went inside only to not be apologized to for the time wasted or anything like that and a scoop that had no hot fudge and magic shell. The chocolate covered strawberry was not even blended. Usually a spot I love to go but horrible experience. I don’t recommend it

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Culver’s, Merrillville, IN

I usually don’t frequent Culver’s, but I decided to give this location in Merrillville a try — and I really wish I hadn’t.

When I pulled up to the drive-thru, there was only one car in front of me, yet it took several minutes before anyone even acknowledged his order. By the time it was my turn, the employee asked me to wait again, even though it wasn’t busy. Eventually, I placed my order — burger combo and a medium mixer with three ingredients. She repeated my order correctly, and another worker even confirmed the ingredients for the mixer.

When I received my food, the mixer looked like soup — completely melted — and only had one of the ingredients I requested. I went inside to show them and asked if they could just remove it from my bill since I didn’t want it remade. The worker said he had to get the manager, which took about 3–5 minutes. The manager, Bethany, finally came out, but instead of resolving it or offering a refund, she said she couldn’t remove it and would get me a coupon instead.

That took another few minutes, and by the time she returned, my food was sitting in the car getting cold. When I finally got home, I discovered my food order was wrong, too. I’m out of $21 and still need to eat dinner!

The entire experience was chaotic and poorly managed. Staff seemed lost, unorganized, and unhappy. No smiles, no sense of urgency, and no concern for the customer. The manager didn’t seem engaged or aware of what was going on.

This was one of the worst fast-food experiences I’ve had. I won’t be returning to this location. Hopefully, management reviews this and makes some real changes, but for now — I’d recommend going elsewhere!

The waiter for just two concrete mixers at the drive thru was over 15 minutes. There were only two others cars waiting ahead of us and the parking lot wasn’t very full. You have to do better. The only reason for the 1 star is that the young lady who took our payment at the window was very pleasant.
