Reviews
This review is specifically for the Culver’s location in Franklin. While minor mistakes happen, the way this specific location handled a simple order correction was truly unacceptable and is why I am giving a one-star rating.
Our initial food order was prepared incorrectly. We promptly alerted the staff, who confirmed they would prepare the correct item for us. We were told to wait and expected a quick fix.
However, we waited a long time—far longer than it should take to fix a single mistake—and the corrected food never appeared. When we approached the counter for a second time to follow up on the missing item, the response we received was shocking.
The employee informed us that they were too busy and that they didn’t know when, or if, we would get our corrected order.
To be told, after already waiting patiently for an error they made, that the restaurant couldn’t prioritize fixing their own mistake due to busyness—and might not deliver the food at all—is a profound failure of customer service. The issue was not the initial mistake, but the complete inability and refusal to execute basic service recovery. We left without the correct part of our meal.
We will not be returning to this location. If you want a quick, dependable meal and accountable service, look elsewhere.
On the west coast there is In-n-Out. Fresh meat. Fresh potatoes. Fresh buns. Very tasty.
I saw a similar opportunity here, plus the upside of frozen custard. So I ordered a sourdough melt. The bread was not tangy. The cheddar was not sharp. Even the grilled onions (which can be the food of the gods) had little flavor. So I took solace in the fact that I got a frozen custard sundae.
First, you should know I got my meal to go. By the time I got into my car, a puddle was starting to form in the cup. But that’s the problem with soft serve generally, so I don’t hold that against them. So I put it in the freezer while I ate my mediocre sandwich. Looking forward to a satisfying dessert, I wondered why the texture was weird on my first bite. Turns out the caramel sauce they use is very grainy. Then I thought, at least they didn’t put very much on here. Turns out they put it in the cup before they put the frozen custard in. Very odd way of building a sundae.
Ah well, you don’t know if you don’t try. They do have an extensive menu, and their prices are low, so they do have that going for them.
