We all have our opinions on coffee and mine is borderline snobby and I don’t care. It’s blasphemous to take good espresso (which I’ll admit many shops are doing that part right) and then mess it all up with pumps of sugary artificially flavored liquid that comes mass produced and is virtually in all mediocre coffee shops. It’s embarrassing. Spend the time and love on curating homemade syrups!!
Culturehouse knows exactly what’s up and I appreciate that so much. I wish more people did. There were only a couple choices for latte flavors, AND I LOVE THAT. Get out of here with the 60 different options of Torani and Monin! Nobody needs blueberry raspberry white chocolate mocha coffee. Yea, I said it!
Their decor is simplistic and cozy. The shelves!! The shelves are made out of wooden organ pipes and I may have almost shed a happy tear at how cute that is.
Anywho- if you like coffee (chai is also done the right way) that is disguised in 32 flavors, drowning in milk and whipped cream you won’t be a fan, but if you have some sense you will love Culturehouse 🙂

Nice atmosphere, wonderful staff, great drinks. Wonderful place to meet up with friends or just hangout. Being in walking distance from ysu is a great plus. Definitely one the better coffee places in the Youngstown area. In my top 5 for sure of favorite coffee shops.

~hidden gem~ I was in town for a few weeks and began as many mornings as possible here, soaking up the best energy for the day ahead. Stephen (Steven?) the barista took great care with drinks and never once flipped the screen to impose tipping. I had to ask him how to tip and so, so appreciated the unpretentious decency of culturehouse. oh, and the coffee is GREAT.

Coffee is the best I’ve ever had! Their lattes, black coffees, and chai teas are amazing! They homemake their own flavors, honey lavender during the summer is my favorite!! I also love their pastry section, the cinnamon roll is to die for! They also support other small businesses like a clay shop that sells the cutest coffee mugs in their shop!! Overall, a Youngstown GEM!
