I have not had a complete dining experience this good in years! Where to start?! The first impression when you walk in is fascinating. The décor from top to bottom is well-thought-out and beautiful. Even the hallway to the bathroom is unexpectedly unique.

The service was on-point. Lauren waited on us, and described each dish perfectly. She really helped us make decisions on our food choices and cocktails. And her recommendations were spot-on. That gin cocktail was divine!

We had the fermented strawberries and cream for an appetizers and I had the Shakshuka for dinner. Being vegetarian, I was concerned about finding things to eat, but was quite pleasantly surprised with my choices. The flavors in every dish were SO tasty, and the cornbread dessert was the best! I just can’t say enough about it. Even the music fit the ambience perfectly.

We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Driving eight hours from Memphis TN to get to good food and good service.

After booking a reservation at Cultura and my wife looking at the menu, she was ready for what we were about to get taste buds into.
(I don’t look at the menu ahead of time. I trust what my wife says.)

Starting off with 50% off bottles of wine, I could not resist ordering a bottle from France. It was under the Rose group. To me, it was on the edge of not being a rose. I loved it, though. My wife, not so much.

Our meals consisted of l:

Boar Belly, my favorite out of the whole experience. Highly recommend ad your last portion.

Pretzel bread, which was complimentary. Yummmmmmm.

Ahi Tuna, with the charred guacamole and crispy rice. Yesssssss.

The salted egg was the least of my favorite out of all these. However, it was all very good.

We enjoy good food. Never have a given a review like this.
We will definitely repeat this meal when we come back to Asheville. Already in our itinerary.

I had high hopes for this place, and it exceeded my expectations. The food, service, and ambiance were fantastic. My wife and I went for our anniversary. We ordered the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairings. The vegetarian options (amuse bouche, root vegetable panna cotta) were among the best items we had. The royal red shrimp and lamb shank were both spicy – which I liked. My wife had the cured boar belly and beef rib, which were much more sweet and savory. Highly recommend the wine pairing, as the selections mated beautifully and the pour sizes were well worth the price. Overall, the best meal I’ve had in Asheville to date!

We enjoyed the tasting menu with wine pairing as well we’re celebrating a big birthday. Each course was amazing but we especially liked the venison. I enjoyed the boar belly and my husband loved the stuffed squid. The wine pairings were a great addition, I only wish they were listed so I could remember what I had. We will come back at some point and eat from the regular menu.

Visited Asheville for the day and decided to check this place out. Similar to many reviews, the atmosphere and service are stellar. Beautiful space. Thoughtfully designed. They even use local pottery from East Fork which I am a big fan of. The cocktails were really interesting, Ants Marching being a stand out. Would definitely visit for the cocktails and atmosphere again. Not so much for the food.

My friend and I were both surprised by the portions. We both went with A la Carte and ordered nearly everything on the a la carte menu. Listed as “small” “medium” and “entree” I assumed small would be app sized portions, medium and entree scaling up etc…not quite. The bread service was a small piece of naan like bread with onion jam. The small app I ordered was the red snapper and it was sizable app I thought. Especially for one person. We ordered two “mediums”, one being the soft shell crab sandwich and hay roasted carrots. I wish I took a picture of the sandwich. It was enormous. With a side, this sandwich could have easily been an entree. It was off the plate it was so big! The carrots were a surprise. See the picture. It was a dressed carrot for $15. This was “medium”? We were confused and disappointed considering the price point.

The entrees although tasty, again, were disappointing. The snapper was nicely seared on the outside and so tender on the inside but, again, look at the pictures. It’s the tiniest piece of fish over some tomatoes. This could have been a fantastic entree with a nice side a more sizable pice of fish. The beef tenderloin was a splay of well seasoned thinly sliced tenderloin, some thinly sliced zucchini, cold. This would have made a good sandwich. Or maybe a good “medium”?

Great service, beautiful space. Would visit again because I like the environment. Music in the background didnt drown conversation and the lighting was very lovely, but the a la carte menu was mostly a miss. Most of the items were fine, some very tasty, but we were exploring all day and hungry and I was surprised by these tiny servings.

Fun, interesting, memorable, psychedelic experience!

It’s Alice in Wanderland meets Charles Darwin if he were an owner of a restaurant.

I never thought that I’d say this in a food review BUT, trust me start your experience in the mind-bending restroom hall!!

My partner and I had to come back the second day for pre-drinks and the maypop farm dish, and the soft crunchy piece of bread that looks like a muffin, and the perfectly crafted cocktails. The best flavors and smart techniques in the cocktails presented in an unconventional bar ware – and I am not just talking about glass, I am talking about clay, mini-pumpkins, and romantic coupes.

Page, our waiter, made our experience 20 times better. She was guiding us through flavors, textures, and expectations of the every dish we asked about – in an attempt to make the perfect choice when we are ordering our food.

The playful aspect to eating the food adds to the experience: Uncovering the little pumpkin before you sip your cocktail, and adding the noodles to your bowl.

Affordable fine dining with a warm and eclectic atmosphere.
This place deserves high recognition and a spot on the culinary scene in artsy American towns.

An absolutely superlative restaurant with some of the greatest food and staff I’ve ever encountered. My partner and I worked with cultura to plan an intimate wedding party dinner. The care and passion their team poured into working with us and making it the dinner of our dreams was unparalleled. We are forever grateful and truly cannot recommend them more highly.

Without a doubt, one of the best culinary experiences I’ve ever had in America. I did the tasting menu, and every single dish was just incredible. They served combinations of ingredients that most would not think would go together, but DAMN they just work! The food here truly just felt like art.

Had a great experience dining in. Staff are super friendly and responsive to guests needs. Food was delicious and felt elevated. Plenty of cocktail and brews for just about anyone’s needs and even mocktails for those who don’t indulge. The atmosphere was very well decorated and cozy for small groups but very inviting for large groups. Worth a stop when in Asheville. Cheers!!
