Great little place off the capital Trail. Very warm and inviting, usually there are some musicians typically playing out on the back patio when we have gone there. The waitress/bartender we had was very energetic and entertaining. Great bloody Mary’s!

Nice little restaurant not too far off the Capitol Trail. Establishment is easy to get to, has plenty of parking, and a decent amount t of indoor/outdoor seating. Staff is attentive and friendly. Food is good, however burgers seem to be a little more on the overcooked side.

This restaurant is a very rustic gem. The food was amazing and the people there were awesome. Some of the grannies at the bar loved my fedora! There was also live music. The bathrooms were clean and stocked up with chapstick, toothpicks, and mints. There was also a “Pin where you are from” board and I was surprised of how much people come from all over the place.

Great historical local place to enjoy a home cooked country meal! The kids were out of school for holiday and R&R (yeah R&R) and at the last minute we selected this place to ‘chill’ at. Well – to our surprise- it was a perfectly quaint spot! The atmosphere was perfect – the welcome, the parking, the FOOD, the STAFF and the owners! What a great local place to visit anytime. I had the oysters, my grands; one had chicken tenders and the other had wings. They enjoyed their meals! Thats saying a lot because my little one is a picky eater – she apologetically said the mac ‘n cheese was better than mine! I wasn’t offended at all after I tasted hers (lol – I had to sneak it because she guarded it). Anyway, perfect local place and the historical building/decor and scenery makes it that much more special!

Cul’s just feels like home. Great food and drinks. Fast service, good live music, and hugs from Cullen to boot. Who could ask for anything more? ❤️

This is a really cool restaurant along a really great bike path. Whenever we bike the VA Capital Trail we always stop here. The food and service has always been excellent. They often have live entertainment which has always been surprisingly excellent. They have an outdoor seating area but we love the quaint atmosphere of the bar/dining area so we sit inside every time. I don’t think I would bike this trail without planning a stop at this restaurant.

A quaint historic building conveniently located off the main road through Charles City across from the municipal building.
Located near the Capital City bike trail with easy parking for bikes. There is a large covered area behind the parking lot perfect for live music.
The atmosphere is enjoyable and service was good. The chicken sandwiches we had were tasty. The seasoned fries were excellent. There is also outside seating available.

Stopped by Culs Courthouse Grille while biking the Virginia Capital Trail from Richmond to Williamsburg with my group. This spot is one of only two places to eat directly on the trail, the other being Indian Fields Tavern (which we visited on the way back next day). The food was good for refueling, with plenty of options to satisfy those carb cravings.
The atmosphere is laid-back, and the service was welcoming. While it may not be a standout, it’s definitely a convenient and reliable option if you’re looking for a break along the way.

Love the old building this cozy restaurant is located in. All the employees are friendly and you feel like you’re dining with a bunch of friends. They even had someone singing and playing a guitar! It also has a really cool setup outside. There’s a stage and tables outdoors. We went for lunch with a jeep group. I really want to go back for dinner, then hopefully listen to some music outdoors.
