Oysters were absolutely on point. Fresh, briny, and perfectly shucked. The mussels were also very nice, flavorful, and well prepared. Simple, high-quality seafood done right. Great spot when you’re craving excellent oysters.

I first went to the other side which is Lobster Palace because I really wanted a lobster roll and I heard great things. Lobster Palace only offers cold lobster rolls and directed me to Cull & Pistol. The atmosphere was wonderful, the service was great, and the food was simply amazing. That was the best lobster roll I’ve had, and the fries with the old bay seasoning was good too. My mom also really enjoyed her clam chowder. I would definitely return.

I didn’t have a reservation when I stopped by Cull & Pistol Oyster Bar, 75 Ninth Ave, Manhattan, NY, but luckily I was able to grab a seat at the bar. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but it feels cozy and charming. Our server was excellent—offering great recommendations that really elevated the experience.
I ordered both the Branzino and the Octopus, and each dish was plated beautifully, arrived promptly, and tasted just as good as it looked. I would definitely come back to dine here again.
The only drawback is the location—you have to weave your way through the busy Chelsea Market to find it. If you don’t mind navigating the crowds, you’ll discover a real gem worth the effort.
