Lively atmosphere, it is a bit loud. The coleslaw is so good! I had the Combo Platter with stuffed crab and 2 fried filets. The crabs were little and the filets but both tasted very good. The hush puppies were really good too. Fries were crispy and abundant; think I’d have preferred less fries and more catfish though.

So Ive been dinning with Cuevas Fish House for years. I’m originally from the coast and have been going to y’all since a kid at the Picayune location….. I’ve seen y’all grow from having a location from the back of diamondhead by the golf Cart shop to y’all opening here in Purvis. It saddens me about my experience last night. The service was horrible, she was not attentive to my table. Possibly because the lack of servers at the moment. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for many years and last night unacceptable….. The menu online doesn’t match or I was over charged for each item I purchased. I will come to this location to try it again. If this happens again I’ll be complaining in person.

We had my son’s rehearsal dinner at Cuevas Fish House and it was amazing! Not only was the food absolutely delicious but the service was the very best!!! Such a great option for the dinner!!! Everyone was so easy to work with and so very sweet!

Fantastic fish house! Last time I went there it was on Hwy 11 between Lumberton and Purvis. Everything was great, the food, service and atmosphere are what they should be at a small Mississippi town fish house!

Living here in South Mississippi, we are blessed with a plethora of Catfish Restaurants/House’s/Shacks/Camps, etc., which means many of us are lucky enough to eat at many of these Catfish eateries, and in turn we develop a very personal expectation of a Catfish Meal. That said, Cuevas just didn’t get anywhere near our expectations. Service was good, and though the food wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t really good either. The highlight of the meal was the Fried Dill Pickles, & it was the fact that they were not overly salty, and the biggest let down was the Hushpuppies, they seemed like they were possibly made in advance and then reheated right at service, because they were really packy. The slaw was edible, but nothing special & the whole Fish was good, but could have been cooked a little longer. All in All, there just wasn’t anything about our meal that would make Cuevas one of the 1st places I’d consider if I was craving Catfish.

Outstanding! The coleslaw and hush puppies were brought out with out ordering or asking, it’s a courtesy. The cat fish is fresh daily. The fried oysters are amazing and everything is brought out in record time with all the fixings. Prices are wonderful.

Not impressed at all. The stuffed crabs on the seafood platter were the size of a shrimp. A French fry was longer than 2 crabs together. Two different couples ordered the all you can eat fish platter. They brought only one platter to be shared by both couples. Not sanitary eating off the same platter. Look at the pictures, see for yourself.

Be prepared to wait! We waited over an hour to even get a table and over 30 minutes more once we were seated to get our appetizer. The food is good, but the place is small for the amount of customers.

It’s fish, you’ve had fish before but this is very good cooked fish. They also have other stuff but the fish is the main selling point.
