We really enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant. Every dish was creative, carefully prepared, and delicious. I can feel the chef’s passion and his devotion to cooking. We loved every dish we ordered. Would highly recommend this restaurant!!

Nice setting as a library. Great books including one I had never seen before, a book of receipes from Paul Bocuse, almost only with pictures and almost no text. And they certainly read it because the amuse bouches with a lentil mouse recovered with strawberry jam were very nice, the avocado/octopus roll was very good and then the monkfish with Jerusalem artichokes was great. And the get up chocolate mouse with a gelée of pear was top.

My family and I had the most amazing experience at Cuculia. We booked a pasta making class at the restaurant through Viator at the recommendation of our AirBNB host. Roberta and Oliver (the owners) spent 3 hours teaching us how to make pasta and bolognese from a generations old recipe. We then were served the dinner we made by their professional staff. Everything was perfect! This became one of those nights (with teenage boys nonetheless) that will forever be one of the best experiences and dinners of our lives. Whether you book a pasta making class or just go for dinner, you will not be disappointed. If we make it back to Florence again in our lifetime, we will definitely make sure to have dinner again at Cuculia. If you’ve ever read Will Giudara’s book, Unreasonable Hospitality, Oliver, Roberta, and their staff embody this approach to serving their customers with love and passion for food. Ps. The off-menu mascarpone with pear sauce dessert is out of this world.

The quality of the food and wine pairing was exceptional.

Hard to fault the service, it was very welcoming. There was a really unfortunate incident with a cracked wine glass and being served sparkling water when I asked for still but the important things were great!

I knew nothing about this restaurant prior to walking in. We stumbled upon it and were fortunate to get in without a reservation. We had the five course meal which came with some additional surprises from the chef. Each plate was beautifully prepared and creative. The staff were fantastic and attentive. The lamb in a spicy bean sauce was probably the highlight for me but everything was delicious, innovative and unexpected.
If you’re in Florence and looking for a new experience, I highly recommend this fine establishment.

Fabulous food, wine and service. We are here last evening and were really impressed with the quality of the food, which was packed with flavor. We picked from the à la carte menu, rather than the tasting one. The dishes were really well prepared, perfectly proportioned and delicious. The restaurant has a calm quiet ambiance which perfectly matched our mood. They also gave us a table which was perfect as we had our dog with us, who was made very welcome. I would definitely dine here again, and next time go for a tasting menu. Well deserves 5 stars! Thank you to the chef and the lovely team looking after us.

Exceptional place! Beautiful food mixing in Japanese ingredients with classic Italian. Sound like an improbable marriage but works like magic. Broccoli with miso and quinoa crust. Imaginative and approachable cooking in a relaxed, quiet setting. Trust the chef with the 5 course set menu!

I visited here in May 2024. I thought the food was experimental in this traditional city. The wall with bookshelf was lovely!

We were very gladly surprised by this restaurant. We went there because we needed to be near our church where we have booked tickets for a classical music concert. So we were taking our chances with this restaurant because there was no recommendation and we only did it based on Google reviews.

The location is relatively close to ponte Veccio and super easy to access walking or with a cab.

The process of making a reservation was super easy on Google maps.

We were greeted by the chef with some feta and watermelon and also some broccolini with puffed rice, which was fantastic. For dinner my wife had the amberjack, I had the pork fillet and my daughter had the shrimp Tagliolono.

Our favorite dishes were the pasta and the pork. Super strong tastes with a lot of personality. I felt the amberjack was a little bit weak, but that is normal because I was having a very potent dish.

The waiters were great with all the food intolerances our group had.

We will certainly be recommend this place through friends and family who happen to be in Florence.
