Our family began making pizza in Rochester, NY in 1932. Veltre Bakery was a neighborhood staple known for its hand crafted pizzas and baked goods.
Today Cucinella’s continues the tradition in SC by using original recipes and techniques that have been perfected over decades. We think you’ll taste the difference.

Highly recommended!!!!!
Been here several times since moving to SC from NY. Definitely the best place we’ve found south of Brooklyn. Good is great and even more importantly, it’s great consistently. The counter staff is always friendly and quick to get you your food. Everything is always spot on, including their homemade Italian ices. More importantly, those ices are available all year long. For anyone who knows good Italian ices, Cucinella’s definitely compares to the likes of Marino’s. This place has a great NYC pizza joint vibe. Simple yet awesome decor, my kinda music playing discretely in the background. Low enough to enjoy a conversation over lunch but loud enough to hear. Best of all, you can buy a pie (a pizza pie) whole or by the slice.
If you’re in the area, it would be worth your stopping in.
Enjoy!!!

Highly disappointed. All the food I ordered were dry especially the pizza and the pasta. Cannot believe I wasted $41+tax on this. The salad was overly salty with bunch of olives. They advertised two slice of pizza and 20oz drink as a set but received 12oz can of soda. Plus the size of the slice was not as advertised. It seemed like there were bunch of high school kids working in front and the back in the kitchen. The atmosphere was not welcoming. The ownership must have changed or do not care to prepare with quality although they had a big sign at the entrance door indicating how they care for quality.

This place was alright. It was clean and the server was nice with a good attitude. I had a slice of pizza and a small house salad. You start with a slice of cheese that’s been somewhat cooked and add each topping for 50 cents before they throw it in the oven to finish cooking. The small salad was bigger than I thought and pretty tasty. I’d recommend it for a quick lunch.

Margarita pizza had no fresh basil. They said they ran out but didn’t bother to call or even offer a fix. Just said, “oh, I remember your order going out, yeah, sorry about that, we ran out.” Garlic knots and pepperoni pizza were burn and had burnt pieces from previous pizzas stuck to the bottom. No offer was made to correct any of the errors. This was the second and LAST time we will order from them. It seems that they don’t care about the product they sell. Pizzas had thin layers of cheese and every bit was like eating burnt wood. Waste of money and time.

Tried the pig and fig along with a caprese salad. Excellent deal for the price, the large is absolutely enormous. While it wasn’t bad, we did enjoy the toppings, it had too much cheese for this style and ended up just turning into cheesy bread like you would expect from a chain. The salad was unremarkable, ingredients were not high quality.

Hands down one of the most disappointing pizzas I’ve ever had. Got the 20.00 Fig and Pig 12″. Toppings covered only the bottom half of the pieces. Figs were only on one half of the pizza. Some slices had no cheese at all. I’m in awe that they allowed this to go out to a customer.

I’ve been ordering here since they opened. I’ve really enjoyed the food and love supporting local business. I’m a business owner myself and have about 20 years experience in food and hospitality. Today’s interaction is one of the wildest I’ve ever encountered.
I ordered online for delivery through their website as I’ve always done. Around the time my order is expected I received a message from the delivery driver that the restaurant had lost my order. I tried to message back but my texts and calls didn’t go through.
I call Cucinella who informed me, yes, they lost my order. Yes, a driver had arrived and then left. No, I would not be getting the food I paid for as the order had been cancelled. And no, I could not get a refund. I could contact their 3rd party vendor, slice, and they would “see about” a refund.
Slice instead says they’ll make the order and send it out. I told them I didn’t want that, I wasn’t even home at this point as I was getting food elsewhere. I reiterated that since my order had been lost by the restaurant and cancelled by the driver I no longer wanted it, I only wanted a refund. Slice refused, saying now the restaurant refused to cancel my order or refund me.
I’ll let slice take the blame for losing my order or causing some misunderstanding. But cucinellas should have handled this situation better than they way they did. I see from other reviews slice has caused issues, so why continue using it??? At no point did the restaurant reach out to me or try to make this right. They found a way to insist on taking my money and provide appalling service. I regret ever recommending this establishment

This is a cute Pizzaria. It features an open interior, a hard working staff, and a really vintage Coke machine and honestly really good Italian ice and custard.
My only issue was that things on the menu seemed a bit over priced. I got the Stromboli and it was worth every penny for its shear size. Could have lasted me 3 days. The only issue was that some of the strombolis dough wasn’t finished cooking all the way through. Nothing the air fryer couldn’t fix at home. My gf devoured the pesto sub!
I think this place has a lot of personality and potential for improvement!

Spent too much money for flavorless food. Everything smelled delicious, looked appetizing, but it was a disappointment. The best part of the pizza was the crust. If you are a sauce person, be sure to ask for extra sauce or else the pizza will be dry. I really had high hopes for the garlic knots. The taste was absolutely disgusting, too much olive oil or something. I immediately spit them out. My taste buds are a bit different since I’m from a different state and I’m used to better tasting food all around. I just tried the cheesecake and I don’t know if it’s spoiled but even my daughter spit it out. The website states they get a shipment every week. The cheesecake slic I got says 1.7.24 on it. Not sure where that fits in but if that’s what NY cheesecake taste like then I don’t want it.

I had a great experience here. Had a problem with the online ordering system and the manager on duty was so kind and helpful with everything. Everyone there was very polite. I am from Chicago area so I’m used to good pizza and this was really good. The gluten free crust was the best I’ve ever had.
