Our family began making pizza in Rochester, NY in 1932. Veltre Bakery was a neighborhood staple known for its hand crafted pizzas and baked goods. Today Cucinella’s continues that family tradition in Eastern NC by using original recipes and techniques that have been perfected over decades. We believe you’ll taste the difference.

I work across from the Cucinella’s in uptown, but this location is a tad closer to my house and close to the Trader Joe’s. I came here with my sister with the plans of getting leftovers to share and eat the next day. I ordered an 18’ New York Style with sliced meatballs, spinach, and feta. My sister ordered a large Chicken Pesto Grinder without peppers and tomatoes. For an appetizer, we got the Cheesy Knots. We placed our order at the counter and the person working was SO NICE! The inside seating is also really nice. Our food came out after about 10 minutes or so. The cheesy knots were super cheesy and it came with 6 of them and a side of chilled marinara sauce. They were great! The pizza was fantastic. I had it cold the next day and it really highlighted the feta. The service was amazing and I love that they have instructions and water cups out. I was able to get some boxes to bring the rest of the food home, too. I really enjoyed it here and definitely will be coming back!

If loving Cucinaella’s is wrong, I don’t want to be right. Let’s start with the meatballs, because honestly they deserve the spotlight. These things are tender, flavorful, and so perfectly seasoned that I briefly considered asking if I could order a bowl of just meatballs.The food alone would earn five stars, but the service takes it over the top. Caroline was the absolute best, most friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the experience feel warm and welcoming person ever. She had great recommendations, kept everything running smoothly, and somehow managed to make us feel like regulars on our first visit. Cucinaella’s Midtown nails it! Amazing food, great vibes, and service that makes you smile. I came hungry, left full, and am still thinking about those meatballs. Do yourself a favor and go, your taste buds will thank you!

This experience really fell short of expectations. The cashier was distracted and was more concerned with flirting/chatting it up with the kitchen staff than with doing her job. There were unclean tables that I had to ask her to wipe down (I shouldn’t have to ask). There was only one other customer in there besides me. By the way, I did tip her, even though I didn’t feel it was earned. She didn’t give specific/helpful information when prompted about the menu. Last, the food. The garlic and olives were not fresh; they were canned. The parmesan was not sharp/flavorful; it was mild. They baked the fresh basil, thereby cancelling out the flavor. The basil should be added at the last moment to preserve its freshness. The food is advertised as fresh but it was not. Overall, disappointing. 2 stars because they do offer a gluten free crust, which I can appreciate. Would not recommend unless you have the palette of an 8 year old.

I’ve had a countless number of great experiences at Cucinellas. The staff is always very friendly and the food is fantastic. My two personal favorites are the buffalo chicken pizza and the meatball sub which I recommend to anyone eating here for the first time.

The pizza (house pie) was delicious. We had two salads two slices Abd drinks for 20 bucks. Awesome to eat a little something before shopping at Trader Joe’s ❤️❤️ sorry bout the pic but it was so good I didn’t even think to take a before pic.

i luv their pizza, and yesterday was my birthday and my wife ordered 3 pizza’s for us and some friends and i was excited and when i opened them up and 2 of the pizza’s were burnt on one side and dried out on the otherside, unfortunately it will be awhile before i eat here again, i am very dissappointed but hopefully it was just a bad nite or something, but normally their pizza is amazing! this what was left
