Horrible service!! Or should I say no service. Showed up on time for a 6pm reservation on a Thursday night. Not busy at all, 3 other tables with customers. Had to wait 5 minutes while they “set the table” before seating us. They knew we were coming, shouldn’t the table have been ready?! Then by 6:15 no one had even come by for a drink order. Meanwhile a waitress/possibly manager spent time talking with a nearby table about her son being the only server at their pizzeria. We tried to wave her over. She looked at us and ignored us. Needless to say, this was very rude. Furthermore we had a 7:30 show. So, we left!! We’ve been to much busier restaurants and had better treatment and service. No time for rudeness or to be ignored. Unable to rate the food. Didn’t get that far…work on your service or you’re likely to lose more customers.

Amazing food, service, ambiance, ect… A little hole in the wall, family owned business! We stopped here after my google search for best restaurants in Blue Ridge and this is definitely one of them! We almost didn’t get a table because they were all booked for the day, so we walked out and went next door to the pizza restaurant and when we sat down the owner ran in there right before we ordered and told us they made it work and set up a table for us so we headed right back! The server was awesome and very knowledgeable with everything on the menu, food was fantastic and flavorful. We loved everything that she recommend! The owner kept stopping by to make sure everything was good. Overall we had a great experience and meal. Will be back for sure!

Guess who was asked to choose the restaurant during our SpaCation in Blueridge, knowing full well that I tend to go off the beaten path?! I am happy to share that we weren’t disappointed! The first 3 sentiments that come to mind about dining @Cucina Rustica:
1. Authentic – they make their own noodles!
2. Delicious -strong yet balanced flavor profiles and generous portions!
3. Well worth the wait -approx 20 minutes to get seated, as they have limited staff and we walked in on a Friday night without a reservation. It will take a hour for your food, yet I will happily wait for high quality! And the meal was paced to savor & enjoy!
The calamari appetizer was flavorful & spicy. The lasagna bolognese was so yummy that it rivals what I thoroughly enjoyed during my travels to Rome, Italy! The seafood pasta was equally impressive with large portions of lobster…make certain you add shrimp as they are large & fresh. The wild mushroom ravioli was good, not great IMO. Skip the chicken parmigiana in favor of the veal since the veal is actually one of their specialities & you can get chicken anywhere!
And yes, I’m definitely returning to this restaurant the next time I visit Blueridge! Merry Christmas!

Food was amazing and atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. Bella was an awesome server and we really enjoyed Cucina Rustica. We had the calamari, chicken parmesan and lobster scampi, all were delicious!

Service was exceptional and the food was great, especially the Ziki salad and Halibut entree. The building is a bit worn down but that did not detract from the ambience inside which is rustic and cozy. The windows have nice wooden blinds to cover the lack of outside views.

The food here was amazing! We had the calamari for an appetizer. He had the lasagna and I had the chicken parm, both were amazing! The wine selection is massive, plus the desserts were also fantastic. Our server was very nice, prompt, and personable! We aren’t from the area, but if we were in again, we would definitely visit again!

Their pizza is so flavorful! We got the 3 meat topping and the sausage is wonderful. Service was also on top of things making sure we had plenty of refills of drinks. I would have given in 5 stars had the window blinds and window sil been clean of dirt and bugs.

We had a wonderful experience for my wife’s birthday celebration. We were seated within 10- 15 minutes of our reservation on a very busy night. Jordan our waiter was excellent. He guided us to a very good Malbec then steered us to the lobster scampi and the Nonna’s Cheese Totellini both of which were delicious. We also both had a Caesar salad – the best we’ve had in awhile. For dessert we had the limoncello tiramisu and the pistachio cake – both were wonderful. The service was excellent. We had a wonderful evening.
