Stumbled upon Cucina Povera while staying at Four Points hotel. Tucked into the first floor of a high rise. Nicely decorated with an amazing menu of Italian cuisine. Friendly staff and our wait Venessa was attentive. If you are in the area highly recommended.

Food was delicious! We started with the whipped ricotta spread and homemade bread. Our entrées were the duck cavatelli and the beef ravioli. I’m not normally a beef ravioli person but this dish was AMAZING!! Not only did the in-house made ravioli have been inside but there was also beef tips on top. The sauce was a rich and smooth creamy sauce. The others in our party tasted mine and everyone agreed that mine was the best!
Mia was our server and she was attentive and informative, professional and personable! We’ll be back and we’ll ask for her to be our server next time.

After living on South Beach with its tourist focused Italian restaurants I didn’t think Miami needed another Italian restaurant but I was happily wrong. This place offers so much more. The dishes remind me of what the grandmothers of my Italian friends cooked when I was a kid. And I love a place that can make quality crafted cocktails. All for very affordable prices. We’ve been back a couple of time and this place is going to be a regular. If I lived closer I would be in every week.
December ’25 update: We went back again just for the mushroom risotto. I had read good things. Wow! I honestly felt like I was stealing. It was so good and it only cost $18. Check out the photo. It was almost more mushroom than rice. My favorite mushroom risotto used to be from Crust. Not any more! It was also $10 cheaper than Cèrto, which is now our second fav Italian place. And forget about Fontana. You cannot beat the ambiance sitting around the fountain, but the food at Provera is honestly more enjoyable and you don’t get the high prices and then extra hotel fees. Even the service was better.

The real test of a restaurant is when something goes wrong. Our (delicious) meatball appetizer was delayed, which meant our mains were delayed, and they came out cold. No problem! said the staff, and all were quickly remade or reheated. It was all excellent–and prices are very reasonable, especially amid the sometimes sky-high high restaurant prices of Coral Gables.
From the time we walked in and were offered an immediate table or a booth in a few minutes, our server Mia made us feel like we were the most important thing to her. She was outstanding. Outstanding. Her colleague Leila pitched in, too, and was lovely to deal with and quite helpful. Mia not only comped us a round of wine for the inconveniences, but took off the 18% service charge as well. Not OK. THAT had to be put back for the dedicated staff of Cuicina Povera.
We have just moved here, and this was our first visit. It will not be our last.

Spectacular! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service from our waiter Juanma was outstanding — it truly felt like eating at a classic lifelong restaurant. The pizza dough was perfectly crispy, the mushroom risotto was out of this world, and the beef ravioli he recommended was the best dish of the night!

Such a great place. So happy we hosted our lunch here. There were 18 of us and the restaurant could it have been more accommodating. Mia and Digan were ok such good care of us and the food was delicious. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Our server Ennio Conceda was absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Gia is the best! My new favorite bartender in Miami. Great service and food! Parking is convenient for only $4 at the Milam’s next door. I would recommend the pizza and the pasta, happy hour everyday 4pm – 6pm.

We just hosted an intimate event with Jupiter Sound Lab at Cucina Povera and it was a smooth, seamless, and professional collaboration. The event is aimed at celebrating the end of the year and showcasing Minerva Borja’s vocal and songwriting students!
Ashley and Mia from Cucina Povera took really great care of all our needs and paid attention to all the details to ensure our time there was a complete joy!
The students brought their families and friends and we packed the house. And after the event, every single person came up to us saying the restaurant vibe was amazing, the staff was great, the food was incredible and authentically Italian, and that the drinks (coffee and wine) were excellent!
Def coming back here to host our next event and also for that delicious tiramisu and lunch special!
PS: Do not hesitate to order the mushroom risotto and end it with the tiramisu!

New restaurant in the middle of Coral Gables next to the train station. The coffee was quite good but the okonomiyaki was delicious, the best by far. This is a new place from the folks of Three Fold Cafe. The service was quite friendly, a good coffee shop to stop by in the area, we will come back.
