We came in for lunch and had the best time! The owner and chef baked fresh bread just an hour before and it was amazing! So soft with a crispy crust; served with a delicious marinara. We also ordered two pasta dishes – the pasta is handmade!! Amazing service and great food. I think it might be a hidden gem and we were so, so glad it was open early!

Pretty good, I’ve eaten here twice. The marinara sauce they serve w/ bread is delicious.

The first time I ordered the spaghetti & clams. I thought the sauce needed work. To me, it was not fishy enough and tasted more like a chicken-broth. Still tasted good, just different from what I expected. I ate most of the plate. My friend who got the lobster ravioli ate the whole plate & said it was delicious (it looked great too).

Second time I got the cheese ravioli and liked it much better. Only note was that the meatball could use more parsley and garlic. Overall it was a satisfying meal. The portions are generous here and it’s a fun BYOB spot. I would go again to try their gnocci dishes. Their desserts are also good, I had a cannoli (not pictured).

The perfect place for a romantic date or a friendly outing. Either way you can feel the locals vibe and the strong family presence. Our homemade pastas are light and yummy. The fish was tender and delicate. The tiramisu was decadent and creamy. And the cappuccino streamed of Italy. I’m already salivating for another visit.

We stopped here based on the good reviews, and we are sorry we did. The food was flavorless. We paid $73 for two pasta dishes, one salad and a water. The final total was $4 more than presented on the bill as the server never mentioned the card upcharge of 4%. All total, we were in for $77 for some of the worst Italian food we have ever had.

The service was no better. The server had no personality what so ever. He did not check on diners or ask if anything was needed. We had to ask for everything, including the bill. We did not have even a slight conversation with him. For a customer facing food service worker, he did not seem interested.

We ordered the Tacconelli ai Porcini. The pasta was ok, but the sauce and mushrooms were not good. My boyfriend said the mushrooms had the texture of wood and were difficult to chew.

I ordered the spinach gnocchi. This was unlike any gnocchi I have ever seen. They were big pieces of pasta, heavy on dough with an overpowering taste of overcooked spinach. I didnt finish it and really should have asked to order something else.

The salad was OK but not worth $15. It was basically similar to a bag of arugala blend greens mixed with their house dressing and topped with cheese. Nothing special.

I hate to leave a bad review because this is someone’s business and livelihood. We work hard for what we have though, and this meal was money wasted.

Possibly the worst Italian food we’ve ever had, not just in south Philly, but in our lives. The blush sauce from the lobster ravioli tastes like straight up watered down heavy cream – as you can see reflected in the picture attached. The spinach gnocchi looks unappetizing and tastes like mushy dough… I’ve never had gnocchi this texture. The meatballs taste like breadballs… they’re all fillers. Genuinely very disappointed with our takeout and would NOT recommend!

This place was very delicious! Authentic food, they make their own pasta. The sauces were all amazing, my fav was the Blush sauce (a mix of marinara and creme). This place was not busy we came in for a late lunch, very good service. I would go again for sure!

Food was very good. Service was mediocre, crowded tonight on Saturday. We came in , sat down and waiters didn’t come over to take orders until we said something to them. We felt like we’re being ignored. Other tables are being taken care of. We almost wanted to walk out to go to different restaurants.

Beautiful experience, delicious..homemade pasta. Wonderful sauce and bread. The only thing we didn’t care for was the risotto, they happily gave my daughter something else she LOVED!

A quiet and sweet place. We had the steamed mussels, shrimp & arugula salad and the scaccetti (dumpling pasta stuffed with fontina cheese & prosciutto) topped with a meat sauce. Finished our meal with tiramisu. The shrimp in the salad was perfectly grilled and we loved the marinara sauce that the mussels came in. The pastas are made in house and I believe they have gluten free pasta. All in all, a lovely meal.

Two of us dined in midweek for dinner. The server didn’t remove the extra two place settings and was not happy to be serving us. Ordered the gnocchi in blush sauce and chicken parm. Bread came out first and we were disappointed that it was clearly previously frozen. The gnocchi seemed homemade but was so overcooked it had the texture of mashed potatoes. The chicken parm was super salty and had what tasted almost like American cheese on top. This place has potential to be good but is just lacking the attention to detail.
