With true Italian vigor and charm, Cucina Colore provides an exceptional blend of spirited cooking and gracious hospitality in Cherry Creek North, Denver. Maybe one of the best Italian experiences I had 🙂 Great service, always felt super welcome. Quality of food is outstanding and choice of wine as well!

Disappointing Experience Despite Great Location
I had very high expectations for this restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience did not live up to them. We arrived for dinner, and it took over 40 minutes just to be served two glasses of wine. That delay alone was frustrating enough to dampen the evening. I called for the manager, who did apologize, but ultimately did nothing to make up for the long wait — the wine simply arrived after the apology.
The food was good, but far from exceptional. Certainly not memorable, and not at all aligned with the elevated pricing. For the cost, I expected a much higher level of service and culinary quality.
That said, the location and parking are excellent, which is one of the few strong points. Unfortunately, due to the overall lack of value and service, I will not be returning.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for years and have always loved it, but my experience today is enough to make me not even want to go back. First off, our service was neglectful at best. He didn’t ask all of us what we wanted for drinks and just left before everyone could order. He then took about twenty minutes to come back and take food orders, and we had to wave him over. That wasn’t the worst thing, I can deal with bad service. I was enjoying my arugula salad when I found a huge dead dragonfly in it. HUGE. I truly believe the only way they could have not noticed this is if the lettuce was fresh out the bag and unwashed. Our waiter was barely apologetic about it and instead made jokes about not wanting a box for the rest of my meal. Of course I don’t, my appetite is ruined because of how disgusting that is. I can appreciate that they took the salad off our bill, but it’s honestly ridiculous that they didn’t notice the massive dead dragonfly in the salad. I’m disgusted and let down and probably won’t be returning to what was my favourite restaurant for a long time. I would recommend checking your salad thoroughly if you order one.

If you’ve never been a huge fan of Italian food, take it from me—Cucina Colore in Cherry Creek completely changed my mind. Family-owned and operated since 1994 by Venanzio Momo—who grew up working in his mother’s Italian deli and brought a wood-fired pizza tradition from New York—this neighborhood trattoria feels timeless yet fresh .
Today for lunch:
• I had the gnocchi — perfectly cooked, rich, and flavorful.
• My wife the chicken sandwich, juicy and satisfying.
• My son devoured a pepperoni pizza (made in that original hearth oven tradition).
• My niece loved her pasta, which tasted fresh and expertly balanced. Everything was delightfully made with fresh, high‑quality ingredients and a focus on true flavor—not gimmicks .
But the real showstopper? The bread pudding for dessert—next level. Rich, warm, comforting, and the perfect end to lunch.
From the warm, upscale-yet-approachable ambiance to attentive service and a seasonal menu that honors both classics and innovation, Cucina Colore is a spot I’ll absolutely come back to—even though I wasn’t initially an Italian food fan.
Located at 3041 E 3rd Ave in Cherry Creek North, open daily with full lunch and dinner service

Best Italian food I’ve ever had. The service was amazing, and the food was even better. We had the Artichoke dip as an appetizer, and the Farfalle pasta was so good. Amazing flavor, nice and spicy. We also shared their famous peach bread pudding that was heavenly. 10/10 place.

This is a long running, solid choice in Cherry Creek. The have a very good Italian menu. The Caesar salad is a favorite. If you are an eggplant fan, the eggplant lasagna can not be missed. They have about 6 pasta dishes including seafood pasta. The have a good selection of wines by the glass in affordable prices. They also have free parking behind the building. Reservations are recommended, but you could usually get in without one. Service was very good. The servers recommendations were right on.

I don’t write many reviews. So if I am writing one, I had an excellent experience.
Staff was fantastic, friendly and high attention to details.
Food was delicious, from bread to the Sangria to the Chefs special.
If you are looking for a date night with an upscale feeling, or a casual lunch/dinner . This is the place you need to come to.
I will be returning here again, highly recommend!

My partner and I went out to eat here as I was craving Italian and the reviews/look of the place caught my eye. I got the Linguine and he the Spaghettini, the Linguine had a delicious sauce and I would recommend it. The food was good, prices I would say are reasonable, I loved the moody lighting and our server was very professional and kind. I would definitely eat here again. The portion sizes were perfect as well, enough to fill you not too much to need boxes or to overeat.

We came here for my friend’s birthday on Valentine’s Day. We had a reservation booked and were told we had a 15 min window of time for getting there. We arrived to an incredibly packed restaurant (understandable it’s VDay) but it was incredibly chaotic with no sort of line to get checked in. We waited 10 mins and were then told by the time that we did check in, that our reservation had been given up!!! The host then proceeded to make us feel dumb for asking why we weren’t notified, etc. We asked if we could sit at the bar to try and rectify our friends night but were told that the menu was pre set and we likely wouldn’t want to spend the money on that. Our group left feeling so insulted and the experience was so poor. I feel so bad bc I suggested this space for my friend and instead had one of the worst customer service experiences in Denver. Don’t go here. Plenty of other Italian places nearby that aren’t the entitled Cherry Creek vibe.
