We saw an advertisement for the Grinch Grotto online and honestly regretted not booking sooner but in hindsight, we may have picked the perfect time. There was no overwhelming holiday rush, and everything felt relaxed and enjoyable.
The décor was phenomenal festive, immersive, and thoughtfully done. I really enjoyed the signature drinks, and the steak was absolutely delicious. My child had an amazing time as well he loved the food and dessert, the decorations, and the overall experience.
What stood out most was how attentive and accommodating the staff was. One parent asked if they could put on The Grinch movie, and they did which made the environment feel even more cozy and family-friendly.
The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and truly memorable. This is definitely something we see ourselves making a family tradition, and next year we may even try the character meal experience.
Highly recommend a must-do for the holidays.

Food is fantastic. Service does not match. Drinks were put on table with no cocktail napkins. Waiter did not check on us at all. Lighting too bright in room. For the amazing food they have, the servers resemble more of a diner type establishment. Was not friendly. Stuck in the 80s type. I can’t explain it well, but would be back just for the food but won’t be back because of the service.

Service here is really good & attentive. Had a reservation in dining, but had to sit in bar area as they were decorating for Christmas. Still gave this place a fair chance. The food was fresh & delicious. Best pizza I’ve had in NJ! Chicken Parmesan is huge in portion size, but too many tomatoes imo.

This was our first time visiting Cucina Calandra, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! We came as a group of six and were impressed from the start.
As soon as we were seated, we were served water and treated to warm, delicious bread topped with cheese—perfect for dipping into a flavorful parmesan and olive oil blend. A great way to start the meal!
The food was outstanding. Our table ordered the ravioli with chicken, chicken parmesan, seafood, and the beet salad. Every dish was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. You can really taste the quality and care in the preparation.
Excellent service, cozy atmosphere, and incredible food—we’ll definitely be back soon!

Although I’ve come here several times before, we came for the Grinch’s grotto experience with the kids this time. The place was decorated beautifully inside and out. We made reservations and were seated promptly. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food was very good and there was plenty of variety in the menu. The only issue was there were 4 of us and we were given a table for two. There was very little room for dishes and drinks and our server, although super nice, took a little long in checking in causing the little ones to get restless waiting for food and deserts. Altogether, the experience was great. The room was very well decorated which made time for cool holiday pictures with the family. There is ample parking and it’s very accessible from the highway or backstreets. An appearance by the Grinch would’ve made this visit epic, but it was great none the less. Not sure if I’d do it again with the kids, but a date with the wife is certain to happen.

I wish the drinks were a bit more festive or in festive mugs but they were good.
We shared the fried calamari to start and it was good. For our entree we shared the chicken parm and rigatoni Ala vodka and both were delicious. My friends also enjoyed their dishes.
