This place is the best ! The apps, the entrees, the desserts! All spectacular. The location and parking is a breeze and makes arriving seamless. I can only imagine what the patio in the summer feels like !
What sets this apart from others is the hospitality and service. They make you feel right at home. The ambiance inside is out of this world. And the downstairs seating/party area feels like you’re in Italy. The pizza is hands down the best in the burgh !

This is a place that specializes in pizza. They also have some interesting salads and are known for their meatball appetizer. A few pasta dishes and other Italian-style appetizers round out the menu, and they are BYOB with a $5 corkage fee per bottle (very reasonable).
We were there as a large group and got to try a variety of items. They were all tasty. The Calzones are very large for a single person, so should be shared. Same goes for their pizzas. The names are unique to this place so you really need to look at the ingredient lists to decide on what to order. We found this to be true for both the salads and the pizzas / calzones.
Service was very nice and attentive. Kitchen was quick, but then again, it was not a busy night. Everything we tried was really good.
About the only negative thing we encountered was the parking. There is a lot in front of the building and it was FULL. This place is in a residential area and several of our party had to go down the street to find parking. What we found puzzling was that we were the last customers to leave that night, and the parking lot was still three-quarters full. It could not have been the staff as there were more cars there than staff members, so not sure who parks there, but it was certainly inconvenient for us …. especially as it happened to be a really cold night!

The fresh bread and pizza crust were a reheat… not fresh at all. The tables are small so there is no room for eating, the flatware is so flat that eating salad is an Olympic event and the noise level is HIGH… cannot chat with your own guests. Add in a rowdy bar crowd and we will not be having this establishment part of our restaurant rotation. Leo Greta and Pizzaiola Primo will get more of our visits.

I loved the atmosphere, but after that it was a downhill experience. Arugula salad was sparse with only arugula, tomatoes and cheese. The gluten free pizza was horrible and they up-charged
me $6.50 for gluten-free! My total bill for one salad and one pizza was $50. Wasn’t worth $10. Find another place to dine and be happy you avoided Cucina Bella’s overpriced options and gouging gluten-free diners.

This was a truly miserable experience. My family of 4 was seated so close to a 10 top birthday party that our chairs were touching, in the same space that had a six top, two-two tops, and another four top open. The birthday party was so loud that I asked twice to move to one of the five empty tables in the restaurant. Those five tables were empty the entire time my family was there and the staff would not move us. We told the person on the phone when we made our reservation that we have two kids with us so seating us so close to this table was pretty careless, especially for being a family restaurant. I’ve rented this restaurant before for a birthday party last year and was planning to do the same again this year but I will not be back.
As far as food service, our apps came out with our entrees but that wouldn’t have been a deal breaker for me on its own.

I seriously don’t know how this place has such a high rating. Went there for dinner. Ordered simple things. The apps came out quickly (meatballs) and they were fine. Nothing special but were hot and fresh. Waited a very long time for dinner. Supposedly they “ran out” of pasta and had to boil it fresh. Which would have been fine but it was severely underdone. The sauces were bland and I while I have been known to take things home that are underwhelming to fix them, there was no fixing mine. At least they took it off the bill but no manager came to see me. The table next to us, I can only assume are regulars, ordered their desserts just before we got our dinners, and the waitress check in their desserts before she checked on our dinner. Will not go back.

Came here for a vday date. Was really excited to try it after hearing good things. Unfortunately, we think the good things we heard may have been from experiences a few years ago or something? Because we were puzzled by the price vs the quality of everything we ordered, and disappointed by the service and the details, including the cutlery, plates, water bottles, chairs, etc. everything was anywhere from meh to dirty/bad, and we just can’t understand why it’s priced like other, much higher quality Italian restaurants. Thought I’d like the vibe (the lighting is good) because it’s got a family style seating arrangement, but was blasted by the huge black and white tv showing channel 4 news?? Strange…. 1 server in the building who was lovely but did not have time to give attention to any of her tables and we were left waiting longer than usual for everything. Lots of other lackluster aspects, but the most disappointing of course was the food, which is what we really came for. Noodles are straight up skinny rigatoni from giant eagle with a bland, monochrome colored sauce. Pizza was small – not because it’s Neapolitan or brick oven…. Just small, round, probably preformed + frozen dough drowned in generic cheese and roasted peppers that def came from a jar. Got an $18 salad that had “fresh” mozzarella but was clearly dry, cubed mozz and “balsamic” dressing that was clear oil with some seasoning swirled around on the bottom. Loose raw walnuts and piles or Gorgonzola. For $18 I expected something a little more special. Same with the $5 bread and dipping oil.. a ciabatta roll that I don’t think was freshly made and a plate with oil and balsamic sprinkled messily over it. It was a fine experience, but we just can’t believe it cost that much. Definitely would not recommend.

I was there for a shower. The place is lovely. The pizza was ok, but the dishes and silverware were dirty and greasy so evidently not washed in hot water! Wouldn’t go back!

Food was okay, but overpriced and I was surprised they don’t offer complimentary bread for your table like most Italian restaurants (you have to pay for that). More than though, I found it a bit excessive how they allow you to bring your own wine (which is fine) but then charge you a $5 fee just for uncorking it. That seems a bit much for a place that doesn’t even offer their own wine list so it’s not as though they’re losing revenue when you bring your own and I can’t imagine it costs that much to clean a couple wine glasses. I thought the wait staff were polite, but the food (which was just a couple of simple pasta dishes) took close to an hour to come out to us, we barely got checked on at all for refills, the dirty plates never got cleared from the table so we were left piling them ourselves in order to make room, then finally dessert came with no utensils. I’d say the only good thing about the place is the ambiance, as they do have a very cute set up. But definitely not worth what they charge for it.
