Very good. Delicious and large portion. Around 80 with tips in. Leftovers are enough for 1-2 days lol.

So many reasons to give this place 5⭐. The dishes were so flavorful, in a way that I’ve not had before. The dry pot cauliflower was perfectly sweet and spicy – not too much. Mapo tofu was peppery and had depth, the chive&egg dumplings were simple (in a good way)

The staff was also really friendly, he packed our takeout for us, and greeted us genuinely. All around great experience

The space is pretty chill, no frills. So definitely not as fancy as other Brookline spots, but it was quiet when we got there and the food def punched above the price range and fanciness of the spot

Actually mad fire. I love salty egg yolk dishes and this place nailed it with 2 dishes when most places don’t even have 1. The salty egg yolk potato was literally chefs kiss. Food came out super fast and it was really easy to order. Another group in there was being really loud and my family was getting bothered but one of the workers there talked to the group for us and it was really nice, so I’m grateful for that. The place is super small but cozy and regardless, the food is bussin.

I had a truly remarkable experience at this restaurant, indulging in the most authentic Szechuan cuisine. Despite the slightly mismatched decoration and the average cabbage, everything else surpassed my expectations. The Chongqing boiling pot with duck blood, ham, and tripe was undeniably fantastic, bursting with flavors that tantalized my taste buds. However, if you have a medium to low spice tolerance, I would caution against the intense level of heat. The pickled vegetables, while not particularly extraordinary, still added a pleasant touch to the meal. The Dan Dan noodles, although a bit on the sweet side due to the sesame sauce, although I must warn, the spicy oil sinks to the bottom. The sliced beef with numb peppers provided a unique experience, leaving a tingly sensation in my mouth. Overall, the food truly shone and showcased the restaurant’s dedication to authentic flavors. If you’re seeking a culinary adventure, this place is worth a visit.

The food was great there. A stew or soup is always good in such icy season. The staff were also very nice. We went there pretty early before the noon on the weekend when there were only a few people dining in. And the atmosphere was relaxing and made people feel cozy. I would recommend this place if you love Chinese food.

Been here for 5 times and I highly recommend this place as one of the best Szechuan restaurants in Boston. Offering generous portions, delicious food and great value for the price. Beware: Dishes might be too spicy for some people.

When the gourmet dumpling house in Chinatown closed, I thought I would never eat Szechuan fish like that again. Fantastic.

Service was super fast, too (Saturday, dinnertime).

My favorite Sichuan restaurant in Brookline (which is saying something given the density of Sichuan restaurants in Brookline Village). Why Cubist Circle? I love the casual atmosphere, the slightly lower prices in comparison to other nearby places, and the quality of the food. At one point, I went there 3 consecutive weeks. Now I’ve been about 8 times and have never been disappointed.

Strongly recommended dishes:
– mashed peppers with century eggs
– wontons in chili oil (红油抄手) (substantial amount of filling!)
– [can’t remember how it’s written on the menu but think it might be called szechuan hot syle with fish] (水煮鱼)
– sliced beef w/ szechuan numb peppers
– black mushroom over greens (such flavorful mushrooms!)
– twice cooked fish (回锅鱼)
– [can’t remember how it’s written] Szechuan numb pepper chicken (辣子鸡)

Recommended dishes
– scallion pancake (葱油饼)
– yu hsian eggplant (鱼香茄子)
– soft tofu style with fish (essentially like 水煮鱼 but with tofu)

When my vegetarian friends ask me for Chinese recommendations, I point them towards Noah’s Kitchen. But in general, my favorite is definitely Cubist Circle!

Two foodies recommended this restaurant recently. Was happily surprised today with my takeout. What I liked was the spice was to accentuate the taste of food itself and texture was cooked just right.

It was a bit greasy and pricey, in my opinion. The overall quality is still good. I liked the pig kidney and sliced beef with numbing peppers
