Cuban Cafe is a family-owned Cuban restaurant serving the most authentic and best tasting Cuban food in North Georgia (to quote a customer). We are located in Hall County and serve Gainesville, Oakwood, Flowery Branch, Buford, and beyond. A passion project of top-level Cuban-native Chef Joel Coco Cabana and his wife Yinet, Cuban Cafe serves delicious Miami-style Cuban cuisine with a warm smile.

This place is great! I stopped by because I was craving ropa vieja and found the best little spot! The wait time was minimal and I was blown away by the flavor. The passion fruit juice was very tasty as well.

I always like trying new places when I travel. This was a really present find. More options than most Cuban restaurants i have been to. Both our sandwiches were really good. The empinadas were pretty good as well, a bit over cooked, and under filled. The lady that took the order was very friendly, and helpful.

I just bought a chicken empanada and a meat empanada. I didn’t eat them, they tasted bad. The homemade meat burger wasn’t cooked properly, and the bread, I don’t know if it was bread, was very thin, and to top it all off, I found hair in the burger.

Great spot for authentic Cuban food with plenty of options to choose from. Haven’t had anything on their menu that doesn’t taste great. The owner is great to talk to and is easy to see the passion they have for their food. Would recommend to anyone wanting a unique meal from other options in town.

Being originally from Tampa, I love trying Cuban restaurants anytime I see one. This place was so good and the staff were so nice. I had a Cuban sandwich and a cafe con leche and both were excellent. Definitely recommend trying it out if you’re in the area.

For what appears to be a repurposed Checkers, this place is easy to miss but after passing the Cuban Cafe several times on my morning commute, I finally had to check it out.
This spot is absolutely fantastic and professional. Massive kudos to the Chef and his team for creating food with such passion, I will be excited to return.

Really amazing Cuban food. Likely the best media noche sandwich AND roast pork I’ve had, and I always stop for Cuban. Good pricing and huge portions. The service was quick and really kind, as well. We will definitely be coming back!

An old Checkers drive-through turned into the best Cuban food and sandwich shop in the area! You can tell that the owners/chef (Joel and his wife) put traditional love and heart into their dishes and preparations. Truly authentic and delicious! Don’t forget to try their tropical milkshakes for more authentic flavors. Double thumbs up!

I’ve eaten here 2 times and will be a good reviewer like I awlays am, since people are usually terrible. Food comes out hot and is definitely good to eat when hungry. But IMO there is no flavor to the pork on the cubans. I may be picky since some friends own a Cuban food truck. Service has been great!
