Checked this spot out on a Thursday evening and it was a great experience—vibes were chill and it wasn’t overly crowded. The service and food both exceeded expectations!
The Highlights:
The Drinks: We tried the Guava Lava Margarita. It was definitely strong (no skimping here!) but still maintained a really delicious, authentic guava flavor.
The Food: We started with the chicken nachos which came out super fast. They were packed with flavor and the portion size was very generous for the price. We also had the mini street tacos—every meat filling we tried was juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned.
The Service: Our bartender was top-notch. He was incredibly attentive and let us know that the chips and salsa are free. Most places give you a tiny cup, but they served four different types of salsa in very fair portions.
Overall, a great spot for flavor-packed Mexican food and solid drinks. We’ll definitely be back!

Place was very nice. A nice outside atmosphere to sit and enjoy some cocktails. The tacos were okay. Didn’t taste much of a difference between the three of them. They all had a heavy red sauce which made each taco experience the same. Slightly disappointed. Our waiter was very sweet and made sure we were taken care of. Loved the area. But my margarita was also missing the sugar rim. Nothing special stood out about this place

My mom and I visited CT the night before our cruise. There was plenty of seating outside (too cold to sit out there) and not many booths available inside. We had to wait 20 minutes. The hostess was extremely preoccupied with work banter, had to show her the available seating. Once seated, she failed to bring menu and silverware, but was able to serve the group after us. Management noticed and provided what we needed. Waiter came shortly after with the best chips and salsa, I’ve had in a long time. The pico was fresh and well seasoned. I had the birria tacos and my mom had the Santa Fe, it was deelicious! Even though the service was meh, the food wasn’t! This place is in a perfect location and the noise level is loud and expected. I will be back, hopefully the service will be better.

Shavel was absolutely amazing! From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being overbearing. She had such a positive energy and made our dining experience at CT Cantina really enjoyable. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about making your meal special, and Shavel definitely does. I’ll be asking for her every time I come back!

The food here is amazing! Even the chips and salsa were top quality. The chips taste like they are made in house. We ordered the beef, chicken, and shrimp fajitas and they were perfect. It is enough food for 3 to 4 people though. They didn’t bring enough tortillas so we had to ask for more. The meats are so tender and the seasonings they use will make your mouth water. This dish does not disappoint. Highly recommend!

I waited over 15 minutes to get a drink. The chips were so salty and the pico de gallo and salsa too.
I do not recommend this place for authentic Mexican food. I did not have a great experience. I tried.
The drink that I ordered had incredible amount of tajin.

We were visiting Fort Lauderdale and stayed at a nearby Marriott hotel, and had a dinner at this Mexican restaurant. We ordered four main courses for four people, but ended up with finishing only about three dishes. The Fujitas were huge in portion that it definitely can be shared with two people.

The atmosphere was nice with a live DJ, but the service as absolutely horrible. Our appetizer took a long time and when it came the were not hot. A glob of cheese in the center and the meat looked like it had been cooked awhile prior. It took a long time for us to get our water and complimentary chips and salsa. We had to keep asking for items. Our server never came to check on us or if we needed anything. A runner came to drop off our food and we informed her we were missing an item and she never came back. I then had to wave my server down again to let him know I still haven’t received my item and he went to the back and came right back out with it. So if that was the case why wasn’t that done earlier. It was just a horrible service experience and I wish I never would of spent my money there. The manager was very much present around the bar area and never fully walked around to check on tables or just the overall atmosphere experience to their guests. I will never go back here again.
