We’re visiting the U.S. from Japan for our honeymoon, and we discovered this place on our drive from Memphis to New Orleans. The bacon cheeseburger was honestly the best we’ve ever had! We would absolutely come back again if we have another chance to visit the U.S.

A Jackson landmark! CS’s on West street. It’s old, it’s eclectic, it’s one-of-a-kind.
The plate lunch is always good. A meat and 3-sides. Always cooked well and seasoned.
The country fried steak is excellent. The crowder peas are amazing.
The burgers are a mouthful. Juicy, beefy and dressed like you like them.
The stars, however, are dessert. Banana Pudding that is made with care. Peach cobbler served with the biggest scoop of ice cream imaginable.
Good service. The place is not exactly clean and is showing its age, but the food is good and the folks there care that you enjoy your meal!

Unique atmosphere casual burgers located west of Milsaps College. Fair pricing. Due to lack of helping hands, it’s a bit slow but the gentleman will take good care of you. Not the most fanciest dish but something about this place that makes you want to go back!

This place is awesome! Tried it today for the first time. Its almost as if its hiding in plain sight. Good food. Good service. Great prices. I had a hamburger with mozzarella, bacon and jalepenos and it was DELICIOUS. Really enjoyed my time here. Of course it *could* be cleaner, but the “grime” gives it character! I will def return….gotta finish reading all the bumper stickers. Lol

Atmosphere is great, historical. Service was ok. Had Friday special lasagna, was tangy, did not like. Came with too many beans I seem not to of had a choice on sides unless I was not told about choices

Tried CS’s for the first time today, and I’m hooked! I tried the PBJ burger (pimento & cheese, bacon, and jalapenos), and it was fantastic–packed with flavor. The banana pudding was great. The service was great too, considering there was only one girl serving. It was a cool atmosphere with all of the stickers and knick knacks. I can see how this has become a Jackson staple.

The atmosphere is great, with exhibits that give a sense of history. The cast members were very kind and friendly. The food is also great. I had a hamburger, and the meat was cooked just right, and the spiciness of the jalapeno was just right.

The food was pretty good. I wasn’t expecting canned mushrooms with cheddar cheese, but the flavor didn’t disappoint on my burger. Sweet tea was lovely.
Right across the street from the college, so not too hard to find, and plenty of parking around the establishment.
My boyfriend and I came around lunch time. People were constantly in and out.
We admired the walls with all their stickers, political signs, and what have you memorabilia that showcase how long this place has been around.
All I can say is that the bathrooms should be demolished and they try that again. Also just a more inviting atmosphere. One waitress was working and it was as though she purposefully looked over our table/requests to serve ‘regulars’.
Not sure how I felt with the other patrons in the establishment, but at the end, the owner shook our hands and invited us back again. We’ll see cause they look to have a mighty fine lunch special.

Cs’s burgers and chicken tenders are great, and adding an extra beef patty to amke your burger a double is only a couple of extra dollars, but I feel that their desserts reaaally shine through. I typically don’t even order desserts so I’m not sure why I did, but I’m glad i tried them. Their peach cobbler is phenomenal and their peanut butter pie was delicious. I think they also offer a banana pudding, and I’ll have to give that a shot the next time I go.
