Oh, where do I even start…. this place came highly rated, so we gave it a shot. Secondly, I know every single place is short staffed, so I take that into consideration.

I always enjoy eating at the Crystal. Good, consistent food and friendly servers and staff. Good value for the money. The cafe is constantly clean and well maintained. The carpeting has been replaced twice since I started eating at the Crystal some six years ago. My favorite order is a bacon, cheese omelet with an upgrade to an English muffin. Of course, I have found that if you give the waitresses a hard time, they may get a little sassy with you, but it’s all in good humor. The menu includes all the typical truck stop foods, and I have enjoyed many items on the menu, including a bowl of chili. I have also enjoyed their plate-sized pancake. I highly recommend a visit to Crystal Cafe if you’re passing by exit 2 on I-129/U.S.-20 in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Tell them “The Padre” recommended your visit.
